This look was requested by lovely Beauty Gala reader Carly, and she even sent me the photograph of Charlize Theron to show how much she loved this makeup. It’s absolutely stunning, and best of all, it will take you less than five minutes to do! I used all drugstore products to achieve this look, and I was able to finish this off in a lightning-fast record amount of time. The skin is glowing and perfected with a dab of bright pink blush on the upper portion of the cheekbones. To see how to achieve this look and what products I used, read more…

I recently picked up three of the new Wet n Wild Matte Lipsticks at the drugstore because I was loving the color selection. While I am a huge fan of the matte lip look, I usually shy away from matte lipsticks because they can be really drying and sometimes flake or feather on your lips. I picked up three shades, all bright, in-your-face spring colors, and I put them to the test. If you’d like to see more photographs and swatches, read more…

The Wet n Wild “I ♥ Matte” Palette is a limited edition, Walgreens-exclusive all matte eyeshadow palette. To say I’ve been on a wild-goose hunt for this palette would be the understatement of the year. I’ve searched in various surrounding counties, and over ten different Walgreens when low and behold, I pick up a prescription at the Walgreens down the street and what do I see? Score! I picked up this palette, and also the three limited edition holiday sets from Wet n Wild as well. These are in extremely limited quantities on top of being limited edition, so if you spot them, be sure to grab them. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

Wet n Wild’s Dancing In The Clouds palette is a gorgeous blend of soft, feminine colors that complement any eye color. This palette will look especially beautiful on blue and green eyes, since the bronze and the purple will really bring out the light pigmentation in the eye. You can mix and match these colors so many ways to create different eye looks, but I went with one of my favorite combinations: a bronze eyelid with a purple crease. The look ends up having a nice pop of color without being over the top. To see how to achieve this look, read more…

The Wet n Wild Dream Weavers Collection is a brand new collection of eyeshadow trio palettes that has just been released. Trust me when I tell you that these were hard to find, and it actually wasn’t me who found them, it was my husband (go figure). I walked right past them in my local Rite Aid, when that was what I was there looking for! My heart dropped when I saw the display, and I bought every single palette from the collection, of course. At $2.99 each, they’re a steal, putting down incredibly gorgeous, rich pigment! I am going to be doing a series containing this collection, swatching and showing you a look for each palette. Today’s edition is all about Dancing In The Clouds, so go ahead and join the fun, read more…

After more than twelve drugstores and two counties, I found the remaining Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes. These palettes have 8 shadows in them total, and there is still one palette we haven’t covered here on Beauty Gala. We recently covered Blue Had Me At Hello, and Petal Pusher is another gorgeous one. Composed of pinks and purples, this palette will please those who are pastel eyeshadow lovers, or prefer a more demure wash of color on their eyelids. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

Silent Treatment is the last and final palette in the Wet n Wild new for 2011 collection. This palette seems to be one of the most popular, probably because it is the most neutral and wearable. The colors are gorgeous, and you can create the perfect smokey eye with this kit. The best part about this palette is that you can play with the shades, creating a super dramatic smokey eye, or a daytime appropriate eye by using a lighter hand. To see how to get this look, read more…
