Thanks to a lovely Beauty Gala reader, “Scientific Housewife,” I was intrigued to try the Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner. Back on our Milani Sea Color lookbook, she raved about how fabulous these liquid liners were, lasting all day long. The one shown above is the color “Infinite,” and is a bright, intense metallic blue. I hope you guys don’t mind some extra photograph spam today, because this is one of my favorite purple nail polishes ever. Milani 3D Holographic Nail Polish exhibits a unique 3D holographic effect that looks extremely unique on the nail. The color appears to shift as the viewing angle changes, as well as when the light source changes. I do own several other types of holographic nail polish in my collection, but Milani has really nailed the holographic nail polish trend with this collection. NYC (New York Color) Cosmetics has recently stepped up to the plate in the drugstore cosmetics industry. Fortunately for their company and consumers alike, they have hit it out of the park, designing new collections put together by renowned makeup artists. The newest limited edition collection includes City Duet Eyeshadows, which are specifically designed for the Summer 2010 season. Included in this display were several eyeshadow duets in varying colors from fuchsia and purple to plain white and black for a smokey eye. The shades I purchased were, of course, in punchy, colorful citrus colors for the season. At $2.99 a pop, these eyeshadow duets do not disappoint. The great hunt for Maybelline’s newest mascara, “The Falsies,” took me to no less than three different drugstores. However, this brand new mascara was worth the time and effort.
