Review: Maybelline Volum’ Express “The Falsies” Mascara

product8

The great hunt for Maybelline’s newest mascara, “The Falsies,” took me to no less than three different drugstores. However, this brand new mascara was worth the time and effort. Infused with a pro-keratin and fibre formula, you literally see your eyelashes transform with each swipe of the curved brush. To see a full review with photographs,

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara is the newest mascara in the Maybelline product line, boasting a false lash look, giving you a full set of voluminous, bold, fanned out lashes and the appearance of no gaps from any angle. The Pro-Keratin and Fibre enriched formula is designed to deliver immediate results, distributing volume and visible intensity to your lashes. The patented ‘Spoon’ shaped brush helps fan lashes out.

review

I am going to be honest with you…I did not think there was room in my heart for any other drugstore mascara than my all-time favorite, Covergirl Lashblast. I have been using Lashblast since it hit shelves, and it is the one mascara I simply go through tubes and tubes of, due to its inexpensive price, and accessibility. However, Maybelline “The Falsies,” Mascara now takes a place in my heart along with Covergirl Lashblast. The wand has thick, separated bristles, and curves into a “spoon” shape, for instant curl. Although I do always curl my lashes (they are very stubborn), as soon as I applied this mascara with its curved applicator, my lashes curled even further, and were locked into place. The brush separated every single lash beautifully – so beautifully, in fact, that I feel it does a better job of separating lashes than most high end mascaras. There was nary a clump on any of my lashes after applying, and it reminded me exactly of the uniform appearance false eyelashes have.

Notice how gorgeously separated my lashes are, with no clumps of the mascara, and no clumps of eyelashes stuck together, leaving gaps in my appearance. My lashes are also dramatically elongated, curled, and shaded, for a voluminous effect that doesn’t look like spider eyes.

Bottom line: The Falsies mascara made me look fresh faced and doe eyed, and I really have nothing negative to say about the results. I was expecting this mascara to be another mascara that failed to deliver, but I absolutely love everything this mascara offers.
