Zoya Surf Collection, Summer 2012, Photographs & Swatches

The other half to Zoya’s Summer 2012 line is the Surf Collection. This one contains six nail lacquers that have a metallic shimmer to them, whereas the “Beach Collection,” is all cremes. I have to be completely honest here for a minute…I was not expecting to like this collection as much as I liked the Beach set. For some reason, they just didn’t appeal to me as much in the actual nail polish bottles. Once I started applying these on my actual nails, though, it was a whole different ball game. These are super opaque and rich in color, and they glow like crazy in the sunlight. You’ll see what I mean after seeing all the gorgeous swatches, read more…

Zoya Beach Collection, Summer 2012, Photographs & Swatches

Happy May! I couldn’t have chosen a better shade representation for a summer collection than Zoya did for their Beach Collection. I love that their shades are all bright and colorful, and that they represent the colors of the rainbow. I’ve been storing these on top of my desk where I work because it looks so pretty in the packaging. I may put them back there after this article just because the colors are so cheerful and happy! As I was swatching these, I was blown away by the formula, which was pure perfection. Each shade was super opaque and creamy, the perfect consistency…not too thick or too thin. To see photographs and swatches of the full collection, read more…

Summer 2011 Lookbook: Zoya Mod Matte Nail Polish Collection

One of Zoya’s brand new additions is their Mod Matte Nail Polish Collection. While I am not usually a huge fan of matte nail polish, Zoya has managed to completely change my mind with this collection. Deciding to bring us 3 punchy colors, they break up the monotony of the boring black or gray matte nail polish we see everywhere. Not only are the colors vibrant and intense, but the formula is smooth as butter, and the finish is actually more of a velvet matte rather than looking very flat. Nail Of The Day Lookbook: China Glaze “Broken Hearted” Crackle Over Zoya “Trixie”

Crackle nail polish is all the rage right now! I have to be honest when I tell you that I love this trend because it brings something new and fresh to the nail polish scene. For awhile there, it seemed like we were a little stagnant with nail polish shades and collections, and these crackle nail polishes bring something new and fun to the scene. China Glaze is the first to introduce color crackle nail polish, available in six different shades. I have had my collection for awhile, but have been hesitant to post full swatches of the collection because a couple of the shades don’t crackle as well as the others. I finally found a gorgeous combination, however, with Zoya “Trixie,” a metallic silver nail polish, with China Glaze “Broken Hearted” pink crackle over top of it. To see photographs, swatches, and tips for achieving this look, read more…

Zoya Nail Polish recently had a promotion where they were giving away three free nail polishes of your choice, since they hit twenty-thousand fans on Facebook. The three colors I chose were Edyta, Crystal, and Cheryl. I am beyond happy with my selections, as each shade is fantastically gorgeous in its own way. Oh, and would you believe I took the above photograph on pure ice? That’s right, we had a snow/ice storm here in South Carolina, and the ice made the perfect solid white background. Who knew? Lookbook: Zoya Hot Lips Glossy Lip Balm

zoyamain

Zoya, well-known for their nail polish, has a lip gloss line called Hot Lips. The Zoya Hot Lips Collection consists of forty glimmering, sheer lip balms that deposit gorgeous sheen and color to your lips. These glossy lip balms are ultra moisturizing, and while I consider these to be lip glosses and not lip balms, because of the packaging, colors, and formula, they leave your lips so soft and moisturized that I understand why they are lip balms! To see swatches of the five I own, as well as learn more about these gorgeous glossies, read more…
