Milani Shadow Eyez Eyeshadow Pencils are super creamy, rich, pigmented eyeshadow pencils that last and last on your eyes. This is the first type of long-wearing cream eyeshadow product we’re seeing that is available at the drugstore, and these don’t budge! For Easter weekend I typically go with something pastel or even some fun nail art, but I wanted to do something different this year. Milani Cosmetics released a brand new collection of nail lacquers and one of my favorites from the collection is Key West. It is in-your-face gorgeous with tons of turquoise shimmer and sparkle. It reminds me of the ocean at Cocoa Beach, Florida, where I was two weeks ago. This shade will look amazing on any skin tone, and it would look fabulous as a pedicure, too! The brand new Milani Cosmetics Haute Flash Lipgloss Collection is so bright and bold that I am completely in love. There is a nice mix of something for everyone within the collection as well, including shades for darker complexions and very fair complexions. Each lipgloss has insane pigmentation and shimmer, and the formula is completely non-sticky and not gritty at all. Formula wise, these are great shimmer lipglosses if you’re looking for full coverage color and something that doesn’t feel like sand on your lips! I didn’t personally watch the ACM Awards this week, but when I saw photographs of Taylor Swift at the awards I was happily stunned. She looked absolutely gorgeous and very mature with her bronzed smokey eyes, sky-high lashes, and sophisticated blow-out. It was definitely a departure from what we’re used to with Taylor Swift, which is super sweet, barely there makeup. I wanted to do an interpretation of the look with my brand new Milani Cosmetics Abstract Eyeshadow Palette, and while the look isn’t an exact recreation, it still has the same bronze smokiness, the dramatic eyeliner and lashes, and the neutral eyeliner on the lower waterline. Have you ever woken up with a sore throat and tried to wish it away throughout the day only to have it get worse? Well, that was my day yesterday, and today I am just a miserable ball of sickness, so I am going to try to keep this post short and sweet. Yesterday I swatched the new eyeshadow palettes from Milani Cosmetics, including Impressionist which is chock full of pastel deliciousness. I personally love pastels on everything…clothes, jewelry, makeup, you name it. Not only do I love it, but it happens to be a massive trend this spring and summer along with everything neon. Milani Cosmetics Powder Eyeshadow Palettes are back! I am so excited for this release because last summer Milani released the first palette in this collection, “Paint,” and I reviewed it here on Beauty Gala. Impressionist and Abstract are the two newest additions to the family of the eyeshadow palettes that not only look aesthetically really cool, but also put down beautiful color. Those of you who love neutral eyeshadow shades and don’t have the budget for the more expensive Urban Decay Naked Palettes will find the nude palette especially pleasing. I picked up Milani One Coat Glitter Nail Lacquer in Silver Dazzle on a whim at my drugstore one evening several weeks ago. I am not quite sure what drew me to this particular shade since I tend to grab for really bright, neon shades in the summer. After applying this nail polish, though, I was very pleased with the formula and the shade. It completely screams rockstar without looking like you’ve tried too hard. Milani Cosmetics has released a limited edition collection for the month of July, and the biggest hit of this collection is definitely the Paint Eyeshadow Palette which beauty bloggers and lovers have been raving about since Milani announced its’ release. Not only is this palette visually striking, but it’s a flat out brilliant idea to release a round palette containing several bright, gorgeous colors in it. Milani definitely turned a ton of heads this summer with this palette, with many people reporting that this was sold out in many drugstores! Keep in mind that even though these are limited edition for July 2011, some drugstores will keep these out and on the shelves into August, until they sell out, especially in less-likely to sell out towns.
