Yet another lipstick shade that is perfectly apropos for the upcoming fall season, with its pink-mauve color that is universally flattering. Along with the pink-mauve color, that is perfectly neutral, this shade has a brilliant golden sheen to it, making it look even more gorgeous on the lips. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

You may remember the post I did on the Benefit Sunday Funday Maggie Palette, which contains four gorgeous shimmering eyeshadow shades that have great pigmentation, but apply sheer enough to give you a healthy, natural, glowing look. I decided to break out the palette and come up with a great casual weekend look. Many thanks to @Jalove from Twitter for suggesting the name for this eye look – once she suggested it, it got me thinking about how like a beach sunset, it is vibrant, but yet the overall look is soft and glowing. Bella Swan is an understated, natural beauty in The Twilight Saga, yet she has that twinkle, that unmistakable allure to her. Her makeup is extremely neutral and youthful, but still has a gorgeous fresh-faced appeal to it. In the novel, she is described as “very pale and extremely beautiful with large chocolate brown eyes,” so head makeup artist Jeanne Van Phue used brown contact lenses on actress Kristen Stewart every day. Jeanne Van Phue also used a light hand on every product she used, creating a “no-makeup” makeup look. To see how to achieve Bella Swan’s lips, read more…

My good friend Erin tipped me off about this particular shade by Benefit. I have always been a huge fan of the Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick’s, with their silky smooth, creamy color, and their rich pigmentation. I decided to purchase “Jing-A-Ling” after she bought it, and I am very pleased with my purchase. Jing-A-Ling is a gorgeous pearlescent pale pink that has warm tones to it, making it flattering on a variety of skin tones. To see swatches, read more…

Benefit’s Full-Finish lipstick has a wonderfully creamy, rich finish to it, leaving your lips looking full and pigmented with color. “Lady’s Choice” is one of my all-time favorite nude lipsticks, as it applies extremely smooth on to your lips, and it appears nude without making you look washed out. Calling all natural beauties! Benefit Benetint has been around since 1977, and it has been a classic makeup favorite by women of all ages and races. A classic red lip and cheek stain, it has been worn by women for decades. Benefit has modernized Benetint with its “little sister,” Posie Tint. Posie Tint is a poppy-tinted lip and cheek stain, which is sheer enough to leave a natural pink flush, and pigmented enough to be layered for greater impact if desired. To see how beautiful Posie Tint looks, read more…

Benefit Sunday Funday Palette – The New Maggie Collection is a makeup kit designed for wear the day after a long night. In other words, everything in this kit will help you look glowing, healthy, and fresh-faced. Benefit co-founders Jean and Jane Ford (yes, they are sisters) have expanded their legacy to include Maggie and Annie Ford Danielson, who are Jean’s daughters, and Jane’s nieces. They are now Benefit’s new makeup trend artists. The Maggie and Annie Collection captures each of their personal flair for modern makeup artistry. Maggie’s palette is called Sunday Funday, whereas Annie’s is called Scene Queen. These palettes are limited edition, and I really love the family-centric idea behind these.
