Glitter. It’s the universally gorgeous sparkle that catches the attention of everyone, and yet many people are afraid that if they wear it they will end up looking dated. I am personally a huge advocate of glitter and anything sparkly, and I love to add pops of glitz to my makeup, nails, and clothes when I can. Most of us don’t want to walk around with full glitter eyes during the daytime, and a great alternative is to add a pop of glam with glitter eyeliner. Unfortunately, many glitter eyeliners just fail to perform and end up disappointing in wear time, glitter payoff, or formula. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t been the biggest fan of Sephora by OPI recently. I have found their recent color collections and additions to be somewhat typical and boring with an occasional shade here and there that has caught my attention. What’s Your Poison? was one of those shades that stood out at me because it contained beautiful metallic silver glitter in a bright fuchsia-red base. I know, fuchsia-red? Is that even a color? I thought this would be red, but when I look at it, it looks fuchsia to me…and then it looks red again. I guess we’ll leave it up to the beholder. The Sephora Favorites “Glitz & Glam” Sampler Kit is a box filled with deluxe samples of best-selling and favorite Sephora products that shine and shimmer. I cannot tell you how much I adore the “Sephora Favorites” kits. I think it is a fantastic idea to offer a kit with many deluxe samples rather than committing to a full-size product you might dislike. It is a great way to try out a variety of products in a particular category (i.e, perfume, mascara) without breaking the bank. This particular kit even comes with a “FREE 100 V.I.B BEAUTY POINTS” (which is equivalent to another free deluxe sample of your choice) if you purchase a full size product that is contained within the kit. I feel that if Sephora started including a perk inside every Sephora Favorites kit, more consumers would be likely to purchase a full-size product they enjoyed in the kit. In theory, felt-tipped eyeliner “markers” are an incredible idea, especially for those who find applying liquid eyeliner challenging. It’s essentially like drawing on your lash line.
