Tutorial: Simple Maybelline “The Brightside” Palette Eye Makeup Look

I recently reviewed and swatched the Maybelline “The Brightside” 8-eyeshadow Palette. It contains eight gorgeous shades of bright punchy colors, and I wanted to create a wearable, simple-as-pie daytime look using the two colors that reminded me of a sunrise (or sunset). To see photographs,

To achieve this super simple look, I used the bottom left two shades, the champagne gold shimmer, and the coral shimmer. I simply swept the champagne gold over my entire eyelid, to the brow bones, and then applied the coral shimmer back and forth into my crease and the outer “V” of my eye. Then, I blended everything out, making sure that the coral shimmer provided a sheer pop of color to my eyes. I also swept the coral shade along my lower lash lines for an extra pop of color.

The end result is an extremely simple, super quick “sunrise” inspired eye look for the daytime (or even for nighttime!). These particular shades will really light up all eye colors and complexions and make you look ethereal. This is a super achievable look that the average busy woman can achieve in under 5 minutes!
