Using a dark, vampy color, and then applying bright, metallic nail art is one of the best ways to create bold but sophisticated nails. For this look, I used China Glaze “Emerald Fitzgerald” as a base, then I used a nail art striping polish to create parallel squiggly lines. The gorgeous, rich emerald color peeks out from underneath the metallic silver stripes, creating grown-up glamour. To see how I achieve this look,
First, I painted my nails with two coats of China Glaze “Emerald Fitzgerald,” from the Vintage Vixen Collection. It is a gorgeously rich, shimmering emerald that will leave your nails saturated with color.
Second, I used Stripe Rite “Metallic Silver” nail art polish, which you can find at Sally Beauty Supply. I used this over using my glittery silver striping polish because this will look more like a metallic polish, with just a hint of sparkle. Using the thin striping brush, I hand drew uneven lines diagonally across my nails, making sure each line beneath it matched the curvature in the line. Each nail took about 4 lines, and it will depend on how long your nails are.
Last, I applied a top coat to seal in the nail art, and make the nail polish extra shiny. Now you have gorgeously sophisticated, glamorous nails!
This nail look is a bit unexpected for summertime, but that is part of the reason why I love it. The shimmering emerald shade peeks through the silver, and it looks vampy and rich. This simple but pretty nail art can be done with any dark shade of nail polish you own, and will have the exact same gorgeous effect.

Nice! I bought those stripe rite polishes at sallys one time and I like the brush better than the art deco ones I use.
