Eyes Lips Face makes fantastic affordable makeup brushes that will easily take you through every single makeup look you desire. A few years ago, on a strict student budget, I purchased the Complete Professional Brush Set, and it has taken me through present day. Inside, I will detail each brush that is a part of this kit, including photographs, and what each brush is used for. Also inside, Eyes Lips Face is giving away a Professional Brush Set to one of Beauty Gala’s lucky readers!
Blending Eye Brush: This brush is stellar at blending eye shades together, and softening eyeshadow lines and creases. This brush is also perfect for setting powder or liquid concealer, as it has a fine-tuned, small head, perfect for choosing specifically where to set your concealer. I have reached for this blending eye brush consistently over the years, using it to blend out eyeshadow colors in my crease, and blend eyeshadow shades together. This is a must-have for all beauties who are into makeup, or want to get into makeup more!
Bronzing Brush: The E.l.f Bronzing Brush is a three-in-one brush, that allows for extremely precise application of blush, bronzer, and all other loose powders. With it’s angled edge, it can perfectly contour your cheekbones, add blush to the perfect spot on your cheekbones, and blend bronzer into your temples.
Brow Comb: The E.l.f Brow Comb is another staple that I have been using for years. The purpose of this tool is to brush brow hairs into their correct place, and to obtain the perfect brow length and shape. I personally use mine when my eyebrows are every which way in the morning, and also to trim my eyebrows if the hair becomes too long.
Concealer Brush: This brush is used for applying concealer to that very specific, precise spot where you want to mask an imperfection. The bristles on this are small and somewhat stiff, making it perfect for patting down your concealer.
Defining Eye Brush: This brush is angled, and great for applying color to the crease of your eye, or right on your brow bone. The angle makes it perfect to use in a back and forth motion in your crease, applying color while also blending it in at the same time. This brush is a lifesaver for crease work!
Eyelash & Brow Wand: This brush helps to define eyelashes after the application of mascara, and also for brow contouring. If a mascara I am using is particularly clumpy, this brush helps separate and define my eyelashes so I don’t have spider-eyes!
Eyeliner Brush: This stiff but gentle brush makes it easy to line the inner and outer lash line for thin, straight application. You can use this brush wet or dry, with eyeliner or eyeshadow, for various looks.
Eyeshadow Brush: Another must-have in the collection, this brush absorbs the perfect amount of eyeshadow, and provides rich, saturated color for your eyelids. The curved tip of this brush matches the natural curve of your eyelids, making it easy to contour and apply your eyeshadow.
Foundation Brush: For an ultra smooth, pore-less, airbrushed finish to your face makeup, use this brush in upwards strokes with foundation or tinted moisturizer.
Lip Brush: This brush makes it extremely simple and pleasurable to apply your lip color. The fine, tapered tip makes it perfect for extremely precise application, and for softening lip pencil lines. I personally love to use this brush when I am applying a bold or bright lipstick, so I know I have very controlled, precise application to my lips.
Total Face Brush: This brushes soft bristles make it ideal for applying face powder or bronzer. It dispenses powder and bronzer evenly across your face, for a blended in, smooth look. It also works great for touch-ups, and I often carry this brush with me in my makeup bag, so I never have to worry about oily skin!
Smudge Brush: This brush is another favorite of mine, and I must own four of these smudge brushes. They are perfect for smudging eyeliner and eyeshadow for the perfect smokey eye. I often apply eyeliner to my bottom lash line, and use this smudge brush to soften the line for a smoldering look. This is a brush I reach for often, and it has the perfect shape for its use!
The Eyes Lips Face Complete 12 Piece Professional Brush Set retails for only $12, making each brush in this kit only $1.00 a piece.
