I recently showed you my St.Patrick’s Day manicure using American Apparel’s Neon Green Nail Polish, from the same collection, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint me throughout the week! It didn’t chip at all, and the only reason I took it off was because I wanted to change the color up and do something different. I was thoroughly impressed with how amazing the formula is on these. On top of that, just look at how beautiful these neon’s are! I’m obsessed with all things neon, and these are a playful way to add neon to your everyday life. Neon Coral is very bright but still wearable. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

This spring and summer, it’s all about the NEON’S! I cannot tell you how excited I am that this trend came back from the 80′s. I adore neon clothing, accessories, makeup, everything…I just cannot get enough. I decided to order the American Apparel Neon Nail Polishes after seeing them on Pinterest (click that link if you’d like to be friends on it). I had read a few reviews saying that these were the best neon nail polishes in terms of formula, which is huge, because neon nail polish is notoriously streaky, thin, and known for having bad application. To my delight, this nail polish applied like a total dream, leaving me in total neon heaven. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

Oh. My. I heard about this collection a few months ago and I was so excited for this to come out because I’m a huge glitter fan and I love anything that sparkles! The China Glaze Prismatic Collection contains glitter and holographic particles to give you the ultimate three-dimensional looking manicure. I have to say that these are absolutely just as amazing as I thought they would be. Sometimes it doesn’t take a revolutionary idea for a nail polish collection, it just takes a new combination of formula’s to make something beautiful. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

While I don’t have the entire collection of China Glaze’s ElectroPop, I can show you the four shades that I do have, and just how insanely bright and gorgeous they are. This isn’t the most unique collection around, but it doesn’t need to pull out all of the smoke and mirrors to be incredibly beautiful, bright, and perfect for spring and summer. The Spring 2012 collection from OPI is the Holland Collection, and it contains twelve nail lacquers. I decided to split up the two posts because it can be a lot on my nails to swatch twelve polishes in a row, and a lot on the head (nail polish smell, anyone?). I also feel like when I split up large nail polish collections, you get a chance to take in each shade more. Included in this post are the first six nail lacquers in this collection.
“Holland has a very unique, vibrant beauty to match its open-minded nature,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Spring is the season of color, and the Holland Collection provides an array of pink, coral and orange hues that capture this energy. The bright lacquers are married with neutrals in new variations like red clay and sea green.”
I’ve never been to Holland myself, but my brother was there for business last year, and he kept me updated with photographs and even bought me a souvenir from there which I love and cherish. The Holland Collection greatly reflects the culture and beauty of the country and how much energy comes from its’ cities. To see photographs and swatches, read more…

When I first found out that OPI would be collaborating with Nicki Minaj to create a collection I admit that squealed with excitement. I find Nicki Minaj to be such wonderful eye candy when it comes to her fashion and beauty choices. The colors, patterns, and trends she wears and creates are always inspiring, and I thought it would translate beautifully into a nail polish collection.
“OPI is so excited to work with Nicki in releasing these six new nail lacquers,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Nicki has taken the hip hop world by storm, but her music is only part of the equation. She’s also become a fashion inspiration, noted for her daring costumes and hair color both on and off the stage.”
I really could not have said it better myself. Whether you love or hate her music, she really is like a real-life Barbie, displaying intricate, crazy costumes, hair, and makeup. The six colors in this collection are simply gorgeous and perfectly reminiscent of Nicki Minaj. To see photographs and swatches of the entire collection, read more…

As I typed “Holiday 2011″ into the title of this post, I stopped and asked myself where time has gone. It is kind of insane to think that we already approaching the holiday season this year already. Luckily for all you beauty lovers, holiday season also means plenty of new releases in makeup and nail polish. These brand new, limited edition Nicole by OPI Holiday Glitters are all sparkly, festive, and add plenty of bling to your life.
“The holiday season’s celebratory feeling lends itself to added glitz and glamour in fashion, jewelry, accessories, and most importantly – for nails!” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “The four alluring Holiday Glitters shades offer a great way to add lots of color. Red and gold glitter tones offer a more classic holiday look, while magenta and sapphire blue incorporate rich, weighty jewel tones – which is another important trend for the season.”
I was very impressed with these limited edition Holiday Glitters because they actually have a gorgeous dimension and depth to them because of the addition of multi-colored glitter and shimmer. If you’re feeling ready for the season, go ahead and check out photographs and swatches of these four dazzling shades, read more…

OPI announces the launch of six new limited edition shades inspired by hip hop sensation Nicki Minaj, including a purple Shatter! inspired by Minaj’s unique style, love of bright colors, and her debut album Pink Friday, the Nicki Minaj by OPI promotion will feature an array of bold hues, from neon lime green to pink.
There is no denying that Nicki Minaj is colorful, edgy, bright, and fun to watch, so these nail lacquers are sure to be a hot seller. Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” lipstick by MAC sold out in just minutes when it was released last year from Thanksgiving to Christmas, so expect these to go quickly as well. I always enjoy seeing what Nicki Minaj is going to do next, from hair to makeup to fashion, because I view it as a work of art.
