I was so excited when Too Faced sent me their Melted Lipsticks to try out and review. I’ve seen countless swatches and reviews of these and I wanted to put them to the test on my own. I have 4 shades here for you today: Melted Nude, Melted Coral, Melted Violet, and Melted Fuchsia. These are all very different from each other in terms of color, so you get a good idea of how the product would look no matter what your lip color preferences usually are. I’ve got full swatches inside and my thoughts,

The idea behind these Too Faced Melted Lipsticks is that they are a liquified long-wear lipstick that comes in a squeezable tube. It combines the long-lasting power of a lip stain, the applicator of a lip gloss, and the color saturation of a lipstick.
The applicator tip on these is really, really nice. I was not expecting to like it because it’s your typical angled doe-foot applicator, but because it has a fluffy end, it absorbs excess product and really helps you control where you’re applying the product. Since these are so pigmented in color, it really helps not to have a very thin, runny product ending up all outside your lip line. I was able to apply these without lip liner because the applicator made precision very easy.
Let’s take a look at swatches, shall we?
Melted Nude is a brownish-nude shade. This one is very 1960’s Twiggy-esque. I can totally see myself wearing this with a cut crease, cat eyeliner, and false lashes. This is super pigmented in color and you only need a slight squeeze of the tube to put down good color. The formula on these is ideal…not too thin and not too thick.
Melted Coral is a GORGEOUS peachy-orange shade. Oh my. This is just a stunning shade of the bunch that looks good on anyone and everyone. It’s perfect for summertime, and it looks exceptional on the lips. I can’t sing enough praises about the formula being really easy to work with.
Melted Violet is a fiery hot violet shade in terms of brightness. This has to be my favorite of the bunch simply because it’s really unique and pops out. Despite being bright and purple, it’s actually a very wearable shade and looks flattering on a variety of skin tones. I’m currently obsessed with this one and have been wearing it on the regular.
Melted Fuchsia is your super bright, saturated hot pink. If you love hot pink lip products, you’re going to fall for this one. I personally love how juicy this color looks on the lips!

Overall, these are lovely. I did find them to be a bit drying on the lips after several hours of wear. These also act as a lip stain, which is why I think they can be a bit drying after long wear times. I do however love the fact that these stay on your lips for hours and hours without having to reapply them, so it’s worth it to me to have to touch up with some lip balm for moisture. They have great color options for a variety of preferences and the formula is opaque, pigmented, and not too thick or too thin.
