Today I decided to sit down and have one of my epic “random makeup sessions.” When these moods strike, I sit down at my vanity and just start grabbing products, shades, and colors that come to me. I don’t think too hard about how I want it to look but more-so what kind of mood I’m in. I love a good smokey eye. Smokey eye makeup is sexy, sultry, and looks good on everyone. I do like to mix it up though and do different shades and combinations, so I created this shimmering black smokey eye with an orange crease. It’s an unexpected pop of color and warmth to the eyes, and if you’ve got blue or green eyes, it will really help them pop. It’s super simple to recreate and requires only two shades of eyeshadow to achieve! Full tutorial and product list inside,

THE EYE MAKEUP: For this look, I created an overall shimmering black eyelid with an orange crease. The crease is blended well to create a pretty transition shade. The same smokiness is applied to the lower lash-line and blended out with the crease shade. All you need to do is work an orange shade into the crease of your eye with a fluffy blending brush and blend it out well. Repeat this step a few times until you have your desired intensity and blended out look. Apply a shimmering black over your entire eyelid and lower lash-line. Go back with the orange and blend out any harsh edges on both the lower lash-line and in the crease of the eye. Apply black eyeliner to your lower water-line and upper lash-line. I applied lashes for this look to really make it pop.
