I always say that Target is the one store that I walk into for nothing specific and yet come out with a bag filled with various goodies. Sometimes when I am looking for something to do, or even just need to de-stress, I take myself to Target and peruse the entire store, even if I’m not buying anything. Target has an amazing spring beauty selection out right now filled with gorgeous, bright, eye-catching shades. With the birds singing to me each morning as I roll out of bed, to watching the sun set later each evening, I realize that spring is just about upon us. I put together a colorful springtime makeup look inside and show you some fun Target beauty finds!
The Target Beauty Bloom Video above is a short video showing you just some of the incredible products they have out for the new season. I actually watched this video several times because I adore the overall visual appeal of the video. As someone who admires and grabs inspiration from other forms of art, I love how carefree and feminine the video is and how they incorporate the beauty products.
I purchased this amazing L’oreal Colour Riche Quad in “Neon Skirt,” which is from the Target Beauty Bloom video. The packaging and the shades are absolutely beautiful and remind me of warm spring nights. I knew right away that I wanted to do a springtime makeup look that was bright and colorful on the eyes.
The other item I purchased from the Target Beauty Bloom video is the Sonia Kashuk Illuminating Bronzer in Goddess. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this bronzer. Not only is the packaging super chic and luxurious looking, but this has to be, hands down, the most pigmented bronzer I have ever used in my life. Not only is it pigmented, but it doesn’t have a single hint of orange to it, which makes it look really realistic when applied to the face. You’re going to look like you just came back from a tropical vacation after using this!
To achieve this look, I brushed the gold shade from the eyeshadow palette into the inner corners of my eyes, as well as into the inner crease of my eye socket. I applied the silver shade to the center of my eyelid only. Then, I applied the teal shade to the outer crease of my eye, blending it out well. I used the bright purple shade to line my upper and lower lash-line. I added some black eyeliner to my lower water-line, curled my lashes, and applied my favorite mascara, Covergirl Clump Crusher.
For my face makeup, I used Covergirl Outlast Foundation, which is new, and I absolutely love the formula. It has great coverage and it keeps my oily skin at bay. My shade is 840.
For my lips I used Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick in “Lust For Blush.” I wanted to keep the lips neutral since the focus is on the bright eye makeup.
I applied the Sonia Kashuk Illuminating Bronzer to my cheekbones to contour them and make my face look more “chiseled.” I also used it to contour my nose. This bronzer is my new favorite! I couldn’t believe how pigmented it was…you only need a very light swipe to put down dark bronze color.
The overall look is glowing, bronzed, neutral skin with demure lips and bright, colorful eye makeup. This is such an incredibly fun look that anyone can pull off. It’s bright while still being wearable, and the colors complement each other well.
All of the products used for this makeup look are available for purchase at Target stores nationwide. What are your favorite Target beauty finds for spring?
It’s time for springtime.
