I’m a sucker for all things rose gold, so when Tarte Cosmetics announced the release of a limited edition Rose Gold Clay Pot, I was all over it. I love their Clay Pot’s because they are waterproof, budge-proof, and can be used as an all over eye color or as an eyeliner only. I like products that multi-task, and this is one of those items I can throw in my makeup bag for a weekend getaway and use for multiple purposes.
Some of the key products I used for this look:
- Tarte Cosmetics Rose Gold Clay Pot
- Veil Cosmetics Sunset Light Primer Serum
- Jouer Cosmetics Lip Creme in “Papaye”
- MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes Liner in “19L”
For the eyes, I used Tarte Cosmetics Rose Gold Clay Pot over the entire eyelid and spread it slightly into the crease of the eye. I went back with a fluffy blending brush to blend the crease out so there were no harsh lines. I also blended it along the entire lower lash-line and into the inner corners of my eyes.
This shade is absolutely stunning. It is sparkly and shimmery, and very natural looking. A little bit of product goes a very long way. It dries down to a powder-like finish and it won’t budge until you use a makeup remover to get rid of it.
To add a tiny bit of a definition to my eyes without being overpowering, I used MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes Liner in “19L” which is a light brown, and applied it to the lower lashes and the tight-line area. This gives some contrast to the rose gold and makes your eye color pop without being too dramatic or unnatural.
I curled my lashes and applied mascara (IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara is amazing) to finish it off. This is the perfect everyday makeup look for your eyes, especially if you like to add a lot of light to your makeup so that you look youthful and awake.
The Tarte Cosmetics Rose Gold Clay Pot will look beautiful on every skin tone. It can also be used as an eyeliner or a highlight.
My lips are Jouer Cosmetics Lip Creme in “Papaye” and it is a budge-proof liquid lipstick that dries down to a satin finish. The reflections of gold in this peachy-pink are extraordinarily beautiful and really complement the rose gold eyes. You can see my post on this lip product here.
The complexion is all about light. The more ethereal and glowing you can get the skin, the better. I used Veil Cosmetics Sunset Light Primer Serum, which I have completely fallen in love with. I use it before I apply any foundation to my face. It is meant to mimic the light of dusk, where everything looks softly lit and perfect. It gave my foundation a hydrating, perfected base.
For my cheeks and highlight, I used the NARS Hot Sand/Orgasm Illuminator Duo that I recently did a post on. One side has their new limited edition highlighter and the other side of the compact is their beloved “Orgasm” blush. I made sure to keep the skin looking natural, light, and youthful by staying light handed with each product.
You can purchase the limited edition Tarte Cosmetics Rose Gold Clay Pot online here. It retails for $21.00USD. There are also 3 other limited edition Clay Pot shades available right now, including Mint, White, and Cobalt.
