‘Tis the season for glowing, sun-kissed skin! Today I’m sharing my favorite items right now to get gorgeously bronzed, peachy cheeks and skin. The NARS Hot Sand Illuminator is limited edition for Spring/Summer 2016, and comes in a handy duo compact with NARS Orgasm Blush. It also comes in stick form as the NARS “The Multiple” in Hot Sand. Each have the same ethereal shimmer to them, but with slightly different formulas and applicators.
The NARS Hot Sand Illuminator Duo comes with a powder form of “Hot Sand” Illuminator, as well as NARS most loved blush, “Orgasm.” The powder is soft and pigmented, leaving behind a gorgeous glow. “Orgasm” has been a NARS best seller for many, many years, and it’s not hard to tell why. It’s the perfect peachy-pink with gold reflects in it. It’s a blush that looks great on everyone. “Hot Sand” is champagne beige with hints of peach in it. It’s shimmery, but it’s not glittery. It really can be worn as a subtle highlight or built up in layers to be more dramatic.
The NARS “The Multiple” in Hot Sand is a thick stick containing the same illuminator, but in a sheer, creamy, blendable formula. This is great if you have dry skin because it adds some moisture to the skin. It’s also a multi-tasker, since you can swipe it on the brow-bone, over the eyelids, or even on the center of your lips over your lip color. It gives off a much more subtle sheen than the powder does.
For this look, I used the NARS Hot Sand Illuminator Duo on both my eyes and my cheeks. I used “Orgasm” Blush in the crease of my eyes and along my lower lash-line for a pop of peach. I also dusted it on the apples of my cheeks for that infamous peach-gold glow. I used “Hot Sand” over my entire eyelid, inner corners of my eyes, and generously along my upper cheekbones.
I used the NARS “The Multiple” in Hot Sand on my brow-bone area, and down the center of my nose for a subtle highlight. Since it’s so creamy and easily blendable, I used my fingers to pat this on.
To cap off this glowing, bronzed, coral-inspired look, I applied some peachy lip gloss, curled my lashes, and applied mascara. The main focus of this look is definitely the cheeks and the skin. The rest of the makeup is subtle and natural, but with skin that looks youthful and glowing.
