Remington AirWave Dryer Styling System (also known as the Remington SpinCurl)
Remington AirWave Dryer claims to blow-dry your hair, while twisting your hair into a curl, thus creating beachy, loose waves in less time and effort. The static control technology claims to prevent frizz and flyaway hair.
Remington AirWave Dryer does exactly what it says it will do, and exceeded my expectations. This product is innovative, and there are no other styling tools quite like this out on the market. You can start with wet hair, straight from the shower, blow-dry and curl at the same time, finger tousle your curls, and be done. The product is extremely time efficient for those who are constantly on the go, and it allows you to do something different with your hair than the usual.
This product is meant mostly for shoulder length and longer hair, because it twirls your hair into a vortex in the attachment piece. While your hair may still spin slightly if shorter than shoulder length, the results will typically not be as desired. I feel that this is a downside to the product, as many women with shorter bob length hair may still want a wave in their hair. When I had a short, angled bob (a la Victoria Beckham), this product did not give me the look I wanted, because my hair was too short to have that tousled, sexy look to it.
Using the right styling products, such as a thickening or texturizing cream, as well as a heat protectant spray before styling will further add to the gorgeous result of this product. The static control technology works as intended on this product, leaving your hair feeling smooth and shiny, not frazzled.
The Remington AirWave Dryer also works as a normal blow dryer, and comes with a diffuser attachment, for everyday use. This makes the product especially attractive, since you can pop the AirWave attachment on anytime you feel like changing up your look.
Bottom line: If you’re in the market for a new blow dryer, enjoy trying out new, innovative styling tools, or need a multitasking hair tool, this is the product for you. The product is extremely affordable, as it is priced like an average blow-dryer. If you have shoulder length or longer hair, this product will work best for you.
