Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System
The Clarisonic Mia claims to remove makeup six times better than traditional cleanser, as well as exfoliate your skin thoroughly, without having to use harsh chemicals as is used with microdermabrasion.
As someone who does not want to spend money on a very pricey product, and be displeased with the results, I was extremely impressed that the Clarisonic Mia was worth every penny. I saw results within the first few uses, with clearer, smoother skin, and a glow that everyone noticed.
Simply take the cap off the brush head, and turn on the Mia by pressing the button located underneath the brush head. The product will stay on for exactly sixty seconds, which is the perfect amount of time to use circular motions to lightly “buff” your face. You do not need to apply a lot of pressure with this product, and a light sweep of your entire face will remove all traces of dirt, oil, and makeup. You will also notice that any dry patches and dead skin will be sloughed off, and you will be left with baby soft, glowing skin. I almost always have makeup left on my face when I use toner if I’ve only cleansed with traditional face wash. However, with the Clarisonic Mia, my entire face has been wiped clean of every last remnant of residue.
The Clarisonic Mia is completely waterproof, and can be taken into the shower with you. You may get the product wet and not worry about it malfunctioning. The charger for the Mia is a magnetic plug-in device, with no dock. The fact that this version does not have a dock and is wireless will appeal to those on the go, or who travel a lot. The Mia also is the perfect size to fit into your hand without feeling bulky or awkward. The brush heads typically last about three to four months, and need to replaced around that time. They can be purchased on the Clarisonic website or at Sephora, and come in various types. The Clarisonic Mia can also be used for any part of your body, along with your face.
The Clarisonic Mia is a bit pricey, at $149, but still costs less than its full size partner. For me, it was an investment for my skin, because my motto is that with neglected skin, no amount of makeup is going to look good. I also use this product every single day and never skip, so I got my moneys worth. I have even had the men in my life ask me about my Clarisonic! The product is also a tool that only spa’s and salon’s typically use, therefore, while the price is indulgent, the product is indulgent, as well, and feels luxurious and pampering on your skin.
Clarisonic has fantastic customer service, and interacts with their fan base via social media, such as Twitter. They respond to questions, comments, and requests, and often have giveaways or special offers. Follow Clarisonic on Twitter!
Bottom line: If skin is important to you, the Clarisonic Mia is a great investment for smooth, clear, glowing skin. The product is simple, effective, and easy to tote along to the gym, or while traveling. The Clarisonic Mia is my one MUST-have skin product that I own.
