I was fortunate enough to receive a huge package from CVS Beauty with all of the latest spring beauty releases. Since there were so many products in the package, I decided to split them up into categories: makeup, hair, and skin. Today I have the newest makeup releases for you. If you’re not a CVS Beauty Club Member, I highly encourage you to sign up! It’s completely free and you get incredible reward coupons as you purchase products throughout the year. I have saved literally hundreds of dollars by being a part of the Beauty Club, because I always scan my CVS card when I enter a store and almost always have reward dollars or great coupons waiting for me. It is definitely one of my top places to shop for the newest makeup and beauty releases for that reason. Getting reward dollars back for spending money is, in my opinion, the best type of reward program a store can offer. I’ve got swatches and my reviews of all these gorgeous new releases inside!
Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit, $14.99 // I was born with blonde hair, blonde lashes, and blonde eyebrows. I was also born with lashes that love to curl every which way on me. I need mascara in my life at all times. In fact, it’s the one beauty product I would take with me to a desert island. This kit comes with a mascara and the actual fiber lash extensions. You brush on the mascara, then brush on the lash fibers, and then finish with the mascara again. You can see the before and after above, which is quite impressive. I really enjoy this kit and it makes a big difference in the way my eyes look. The only downside is that the lash fibers can fly everywhere when you take the wand out, so you might have to use a tissue or your hand to brush them off your vanity. Other than that, this is a really great lash set and it makes my lashes look much darker and longer.
Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Makeup, $14.99 // This product brings me back to my high school days when I would wear a stick-foundation like this. What I like about this product is that you can apply it straight to your face and then blend it out with a makeup brush or sponge. Since it’s a stick you apply to your face, you can control how much product you apply and where specifically you need coverage. I dot this product on my face and then blend it out for a super natural looking finish. Also, the entire Revlon Photoready line photographs beautifully, so if you have an event or occasion you’re going to, your skin will look wonderful in pictures.
Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Peony, $9.99 // I have professed my love for the Revlon Ultra HD line several times now. This lipstick shade is super pigmented, creamy, and smooth on the lips. This is a really feminine color that’s great for daily wear. I can’t get enough of the formulation of these products!
Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer in Rose Quartz, $9.99 // This is the other half of the Revlon Ultra HD collection…lip lacquers which wear like lip glosses. These are all so super opaque and pigmented. This is a great shade for a variety of skin tones and it’s got a pretty subtle shimmer to it.
Revlon Photoready Eye Art in Green Glimmer, $9.49 // I’ve used these dual-ended eye art products on the blog before in a couple of different colors now. One end is an eyeshadow that starts off as a cream and dries down to a long-lasting powder-like finish. The other end is straight up glitter that matches the eyeshadow shade. You can apply this over top of the eyeshadow or as an accent along the lash-line. I love these so much and this one in particular, Green Glimmer, is the perfect beachy turquoise shade for spring and summer. I’ll be putting a look together using this one soon!
Physician’s Formula Argan Oil, $14.99 // Argan oil is a fantastic multi-purpose beauty product. I keep one of these on my makeup vanity at all times because I use it for so many different things. You can use this on your cuticles to keep them hydrated and make your nails look healthy. You can use a couple of drops on the ends of your hair to hydrate them and smooth them. You can use this on your face before you apply makeup so that your skin is super hydrated and your foundation goes on perfectly. You can even mix this with your foundation. I’ve used this for scars and stretch marks as well. It’s just an ultra nourishing oil that works for a vast variety of ailments. I love that you can buy this one at the drugstore and that it’s not super expensive.
Rimmel London Provocalips 16HR Kiss Proof Lip Colour in Skinny Dipping, $7.49 // I own several of these already in my makeup collection and love them. You use one end to apply the lip color which dries down to an ultra-matte, long-lasting lip color that will not budge. The other end has a clear “sealer” that you can use to add a shiny gloss to the lips and seal in the color. I wear mine matte some days, without the sealing gloss, and shiny other days. This is a beautiful nude shade and the price is right.
Almay Smart Shade Butterkiss Lipstick in Pink Light, $6.99 // This was my first time trying this product and I LOVE it. I’ve used Almay’s Smart Shade line before, but it’s always been their foundations. The Smart Shade technology automatically adjusts to your perfect pink shade. These come in a wide variety of shades and they are classified by shade and your own skin tone. For example, this one is “Pink Light,” which means it is going to be in the pink color family and is meant for light skin tones. It ended up being an absolutely lovely bubblegum pink shade on my lips. Also, it felt so creamy and buttery on my lips, almost like lip balm. During my next trip to CVS I will be checking these out and adding more of them to my collection.
All of the above products are available at CVS stores nationwide as well as online at the CVS website (all products have links below their photographs above). Click here to find a store location near you. Also, be sure to sign up for free to be a CVS Beauty Club Member if you’re not already. You earn $5.00 for every $50.00 spent, and you get amazing coupons every time you go into the store and scan your card. There have been times I have stacked coupons on top of whatever cosmetic brand sale they were having that week and walked away with some serious makeup hauls for very little money. CVS is the best!
Next up, I will have the hair and skin products that were sent to me from the newest CVS Beauty releases!

Mosaic DaveI agree with both Jason and Simon. It seems Davey has foregone some of the substance in order to gain and maintain popularity with the stereotypical young gays who are all about sex and care little for anything of depth. This seems like more of a business for Davey than the altruistic pursuit it was before. Kinda like Mitt Romney who was liberal on gay rights, government healthcare and abortion as Governor of Massachusetts but when it came to running for president he had to espouse new stances on all those issues to get the party’s nod and keep the money rolling in.
