Soap & Glory Cosmetics have some of the most amazing packaging around when it comes to cosmetic products. Many of their products have an old-fashioned, pin-up, circa 1950’s vibe to them, and they go above and beyond to make the product look unique. Besides the extremely cheeky packaging, instructions, and product descriptions, Soap & Glory Cosmetics puts out some seriously fantastic products. In fact, my favorite plumping lip gloss, Sexy Motherpucker is made by them! Their Solar Powder bronzer is no exception to their fantastic, fun product line. To see more photographs, as well as a quick review of this bronzer,
Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer comes with both a bronzer and a highlighter in it. The duo contains a gorgeous, light, iridescent sheen to it that is simply perfect. It gives a gorgeous, healthy looking glow while still looking natural, and does not overemphasize pores or imperfections. Notice in the before and after photographs above, while the difference is subtle, it gives my face a natural looking healthy glow. Bronzers are not meant to change the shade of your complexion entirely, or look extremely dramatic.
The packaging is a compact with dual sides: one side contains a mirror with the duo of bronzer and highlighter (with an iridescent S & G for Soap & Glory!), and the other side opens up to reveal a bronzing brush. Both ends of this compact are built to be sturdy, and close shut tight, so you do not have to be concerned with the product falling out and breaking.
The bronzer and the highlighter can be mixed and matched to your preference, and based on skin tone. You can sweep just the bronzer on your face, or use just the highlighter for a natural looking glow. You can also swirl the two shades together to get a completely unique shade. I cannot emphasize enough how natural this bronzer looks when applied. One of the main problems I have with many bronzers that I have tried, are that they look orange, streaky, or unnatural. This product lasted on my extremely oily skin for hours, without caking, streaking, or turning a different shade.
I continue to love Soap & Glory Cosmetics products, because they inititally catch my eye for their incredible packaging. However, with all of my Soap & Glory Cosmetics products, I end up loving the quality just as much as I love how cute they are to tote around. If you’re looking for a great bronzer for this spring and summer, Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer is your winner.
Soap & Glory Cosmetics Solar Powder Bronzer retails for $11.99 at Target stores nationwide.
