Revlon Lip Butters are all the rage right now in the beauty community. I have seen so many people raving about how amazing these are, and I have to tell you, they have good reason to love this lip product. I admit, when I originally saw these in the drugstore, I commented that they would probably be super sheer, and brushed them off. When I saw how pigmented they were, I was blown away, and had to start my own collection. Since there are twenty in total, I will have to work on my collection slowly, but so far I own Berry Smoothie, Lollipop, and Sweet Tart. Since I typically wear lip colors in the pink family, I went all pink with my first lip butters. To see photographs and swatches of this brand new product,
First of all, good job on the packaging Revlon! The quilt-patterned tubes are really fresh, modern, and colorful. They really grab your attention and make you feel like you’re using something fun and revolutionary. Also, take note how much the slanted applicator and the silver tube look a lot like Dior lip products (for a fraction of the price).
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters are lip butters that moisturize and hydrate your lips while also putting down beautiful, pigmented color. When I think of a “lip butter,” I mostly picture clear or very sheer shades of lip product. These put down gorgeous, rich color, and feel so smooth and silky on your lips. I was shocked when I saw how much pigment these put down (in a good way). Since these retail for just under $8 each depending on location, I decided to start off with 3 pink shades…
Lollipop is a stunning bright fuchsia pink. I love bright fuchsia pink lip colors because they really stand out against my dark brown hair and light eyes. This shade is dazzling, and it would be really flattering on everyone.
Berry Smoothie is a shimmering nude-berry pink shade. This is the most natural out of three I purchased, and this is really pretty. It adds that “just bitten” berry color to your lips with a hint of shine. I love this shade because it is, again, a universally flattering shade.
Sweet Tart is a sweet bubblegum-pink with a slight tinge of coral to it. I didn’t notice the coral tones in it until I compared it to the other shades I purchased. This one is super feminine and sweet on the lips and I have been wearing this nonstop with a smokey eye.
Since it can be a little difficult to see the small idiosyncrasies and differences of these pinks, I decided to swatch all three of them next to each other on my hand so you can see the different undertones each shade has. You can really see the coral tones that Sweet Tart has when compared with Berry Smoothie and Lollipop.

I felt the same way you did about the lip butters when I first saw them at Rite Aid. When I heard all the reviews and saw all the swatches on blogs, I had to try them out for myself. and they’re amazing!=D
