Lookbook: Wet n Wild Limited Edition “I ♥ Matte” Palette, Photographs & Swatches

 

The Wet n Wild “I ♥ Matte” Palette is a limited edition, Walgreens-exclusive all matte eyeshadow palette. To say I’ve been on a wild-goose hunt for this palette would be the understatement of the year. I’ve searched in various surrounding counties, and over ten different Walgreens when low and behold, I pick up a prescription at the Walgreens down the street and what do I see? Score! I picked up this palette, and also the three limited edition holiday sets from Wet n Wild as well. These are in extremely limited quantities on top of being limited edition, so if you spot them, be sure to grab them. To see photographs and swatches,

 

 

I’m so happy that Wet n Wild is receiving the attention and recognition they deserve for being an incredible “secret” drugstore find. Unfortunately, it seems the secret is out, and that means that these palettes are being scooped up faster. After multiple drugstore “crawls” I came up empty-handed and frustrated, but stumbled upon them by chance at my local Walgreens. I would say that if you’re having trouble finding this palette or the holiday Baked Eyeshadow Sets, keep searching, as it seems some area’s are simply releasing them later.

 

 

I ♥ Matte is a limited edition eyeshadow palette containing eight completely matte shades. This is the first all-matte palette that Wet n Wild has created, and it is stunning. A lot of people prefer matte eyeshadow over shimmery shades so this palette is fantastic for those who want flat looking shades rather than shimmer. The left side of the palette is composed of four bold shades: white, bright green, aqua blue, and bright grape purple. The right side of the palette contains four neutral shades: champagne, nude-peach, dark brown, and black. I love the mix of bright shades with neutrals since it gives you a perfect mix of natural and dramatic.

As you can see, in typical Wet n Wild fashion, these eyeshadows are stunningly pigmented. You are receiving an extraordinary amount of color payoff with each shade in this palette. Whenever a woman knows what I do and she asks me for secret drugstore finds, I always have to share the secret of Wet n Wild. This brand gives you high-impact color in every palette for very little money.

 

 

Wet n Wild’s “I ♥ Matte” Palette is limited edition and available at Walgreens (exclusively) locations nationwide. This palette retails for $4.99, and is a major steal. If you spot this palette and you are a fan of pigmented, matte eyeshadows, you will not want to pass this up, because once it’s gone, it’s gone!

I was so excited about this palette… now I don’t even want it. I’m not sure if its cause I don’t like the colors or what… I was hoping more neutrals I guess.

The brights definitely don’t appeal to everyone…but I was excited because I’ll probably use the neutral side for natural eyes and add a pop of color somewhere, like the lash-line :)
