If you’ve heard of the term “strobing” in the beauty community lately, fear not. Strobing is really just a fancy word for highlighting, which you’re probably already familiar with. Contouring is emphasizing the shadows in our face to slim and trim, and highlighting is the way to make our skin look glowing, luminous, and healthy. The PÜR Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette contains 3 different shades for you to highlight with. All 3 are cream-to-powder in formulation, so they’re really easy to apply and blend, but set down to a long lasting powder finish.
The PÜR Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette has 3 shades, meant for every skin tone. The shade all the way to the left is a gleaming golden champagne, the middle shade is a peachy-coral with golden reflects, and the shade on the right is a shimmering bronze. These are cream based, but they dry to a powder finish once you apply them.
I tend to be intimidated by cream products a lot because they can melt off your face or be streaky, especially if you have oily skin. These actually dry down fairly quickly once you apply them, and then they do not budge. I wore these shades for a solid eleven hours the other day and they didn’t smudge or make my face look greasy at all.
You can see swatches of the PÜR Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette above. What I love most about these 3 shades is that they’re very natural and wearable. If you’re looking for something you can wear to the office or to church, this is a great option. Each highlight has just enough shimmer in it to reflect light, but not actual glitter in it that will make you look like a disco ball. You can apply these shades directly with your fingertips for an even more natural finish.
So for this look, I put foundation on and then used nothing except the PÜR Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette. I used the middle peachy-pink shade on the apples of my cheeks as a blush. I used my usual angled contouring brush and applied the bronze shade into the hollows of my cheekbones and along my forehead for some color to my skin. I also contoured my nose with the bronze shade. To top it all off, I used the lightest shade on the tops of my cheekbones, my brow-bones, down the center of my nose, and on the cupid’s bow of my lips.
Again, the shimmer is just enough for daily wear. It makes your skin look radiant and youthful without highlighting imperfections or being a glitter bomb.
The PÜR Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette is brand new and can be found at Ulta stores nationwide, as well online here. Each palette retails for $34.00USD. There is also another Strobe Palette called “Moonlight,” with different shades in it that you can view here.
