It happens to the most prepared of us…someone hands you a gift that you weren’t expecting, and you’re empty-handed, wishing you had some “back up” gift to hand out. Maybe you left someone off your list in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and need something to give them. Whatever the oversight may be, I find myself keeping a small storage of what I affectionately call, “Last Minute Gifts.” Candles are always a hit with people. I have met very few people who dislike candles or never use them. Candles create a cozy ambiance, especially during the winter, and they can make the entire house smell wonderful. My favorite candles? Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles! If I could show you how many of these 3-wick candles I own, I’d be slightly embarrassed. My house looks like a miniature Bath & Body Works display with how many I own and burn on a regular basis. I love them because they burn evenly, they give off a fantastic scent, and last a really long time. Here are 3 great scents to give away as last-minute gifts!

Vanilla Firewood is a mix of vanilla, firewood, and cedar. It has an earthy, outdoors-like scent, but the vanilla keeps it slightly sweet. I would describe this candle as slightly musky, and when I burn it, it sort of smells like I had a fireplace on and baked cookies at the same time. These candles burn for 25-45 hours, and they last. I am a huge candle-burner and I can easily burn this candle for weeks and weeks straight, all evening long until just before bed. What I like about this scent is that it’s not too strong. It’s one of those scents that smells cozy and light.
‘Tis The Season is a mix of apples and pine, although I also get a scent of cinnamon in there. The outside packaging is adorable and decorative, with a playful snowman on it. The color of the wax is bright red and festive. This candle smells exactly like apple cider to me, with notes of pine (think: Christmas tree scent). It smells like cinnamon and cloves, and it’s quite spicy and delectable. When you burn this one, it will make your house smell like apple pie!
Good Natured Christmas is musky, with a mix of birch, vanilla bean, and cedar. If you’ve ever smelled cedar wood or the inside of a cedar chest, this candle smells like that. I personally adore the smell of cedar because I love woodsy, earthy, musky scents. Growing up, my dad had a cedar chest that he handed down to me as an adult. It sits at the foot of my bed in the master bedroom, and every time you open the chest up, to this day, it smells like rich cedar wood. The scent is almost reminiscent of smelling the sweater of a man you love in your life. While it’s musky and wood-like in scent, it’s also light and won’t overtake your house. What I love most about the Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles is that they can do musky, woodsy scents without making them overpowering.
Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles are available at Bath & Body Works stores nationwide. Right now, all the 3-Wick Candles are 2 for $22.00 USD. These make great “Last Minute Gifts” to buy and keep wrapped for those you may have accidentally forgotten, or even for those people who surprise you with a gift. Candles are the universal language of all things home…coziness, love, and family.
