Major beauty bargain alert! These brand new Wet n Wild Megaslicks Lip Balm Stains are incredible. I had been searching for these high and low, going on major drugstore crawls to try to find them. I finally found them, but there were 2 shades already sold out! I have 4 of the 6 shades for you today. These are going to be part of the permanent line, so don’t worry if you can’t find them right away. These retail for $2.99 USD each, and they all had an instant $1.00 off coupon on them, bringing them down to just $1.99 a pop. I plan on searching for the two missing shades I couldn’t grab, but in the meantime, check out all my swatches inside of the 4 I did get!
I was really hoping that Wet n Wild would come out with a product like this. These remind me of the Clinique Chubby Sticks for your lips, but they are only $1.99 each. Each stick has a crayon-like applicator, and the product twists up, so there’s no sharpening your product when your applicator gets low. No mess, no fuss, just simplicity. These are highly pigmented and leave behind a wonderful “stain” on your lips so that you have color on your pucker all day long. Let’s explore swatches, shall we?
Nudist Colony is a very pale nude beige shade. It applied beautifully with a lot of pigment in just a few swipes. A little advice though…with a shade this pale, make sure your lips are SUPER moisturized. I thought mine were in good condition until I saw the swatch of this shade! It does highlight every little crease and imperfection on your lips, so just something to take note of. This is a great shade for very fair to light skin tones.
Rico Mauve is a gorgeous pinky-mauve shade. It’s like a “your-lips-but-better” tone. Very naturally pretty and perfect for everyday wear!
A Stiff Pink is a hot fuchsia pink shade. Gor-geous. I mean, stunning. It’s super pigmented and leaves behind lovely hot pink color. This one was my favorite!
Red-dy or Not is your classic cherry red shade. Since these are “balm stains,” they leave behind a bit of a sheerness to them. It’s really pretty when combined with the bright red color.
These left behind a slightly minty, refreshing feeling on my lips. Not tingly in any way, but almost like you popped a mint into your mouth. They’re glossy and rich in color, and they cost just under $2 each. You simply can’t beat that. I’m missing Pinky Promise and Lady and the Vamp from the collection. Both were sold out of the display by the time I got to it. Again, these are part of the permanent collection, so if you can’t get them all at first or you simply can’t find them yet, don’t worry! These will be rolling out more in January 2014.
The Wet n Wild Megaslicks Lip Balm Stains are available at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide. Each Balm Stain retails for $2.99 USD, with each Balm Stain having an instant $1.00 off coupon on it. There are 6 shades in total, and these are part of the permanent Wet n Wild makeup line.
