I thought I’d take a break from the typical dark, vampy lip colors for the fall season and show you a gorgeous bright pink lip color that rocks my socks. Merle Norman’s Creamy Lipcolor in Romance is the most vivid, creamy, luxurious feeling hot pink for your lips. I’ve always been a huge hot pink lipstick lover, and this shade is universally flattering for all skin tones. I put together an entire look inside, using Romance as the focal point.

Believe it or not, this was my first time trying out a Merle Norman Cosmetics Lipstick. Since the name of the product is officially “Creamy Lipcolor,” I was hoping that it would be beautifully soft and hydrating on the lips, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The packaging on this lipstick is absolutely gorgeous. It feels rich and luxurious, definitely high-end. The lipstick looks like pure hot pink perfection in the tube. I love photographing makeup, and this was so beautiful by itself that all I needed to do was lay it down against a white surface and snap some shots. I was definitely impressed with the overall packaging and feel of the product.
Romance is brand new to their color collection. It is a bright berry pink, almost like an amplified strawberry pink. What’s nice about this shade is that it is universally flattering on all complexions because it doesn’t lean too warm or too cool. As soon as I swatched this on my hand, I was impressed with how smooth and creamy it was. When you apply this to your lips, it feels as hydrating as lip balm! I love the shine that the product gives off as well.
It’s incredibly flattering and so very gorgeous. If you’re a pink lover or you like bright lips, you’re going to love this shade. I was definitely surprised at how beautiful this lipstick was, and I was not expecting to love it as much as I do!
I paired the hot pink lipstick with fairly simple and basic eye makeup. I used a shimmering champagne shade over the entire eyelid, on my brow-bone, and in the inner corners of my eyes. I applied a light matte brown into the crease of my eyes and along my lower lash-line for some definition. To really open up the eye and make my eyes look bright, I lined my lower water-line with a flesh colored liner. I curled my lashes and applied mascara to my top and bottom lashes. You’ve got yourself a gorgeous neutral eye that doesn’t look too overdone. It’s also going to make you look bright-eyed and wide awake!
I kept my face makeup simple by applying a strawberry pink gel blush to the apples of my cheeks.
The finished look pulls together nicely with the lips being the focal point.
The overall look leaves your eyes looking bright and widened, with your lips giving off bright pink shine. It’s a very illuminating look that’s perfect for perking up dull or tired eyes and skin.
Merle Norman Cosmetics Creamy Lipcolor is available at Merle Norman retailers nationwide and retails for $15.00 USD. You can find a studio near you using their website. As for me, I’m going to be switching up my looks this fall by incorporating this sunny, bright pink into my makeup routine!
