Drew Barrymore has debuted a line of cruelty-free and USA-made cosmetics, sold exclusively at Walmart. I finally found a Walmart in my area that carries the entire line and I was so excited to see the collection in person. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, just like Drew herself, and has a very free, hippie-chic vibe to it. I purchased four items from the collection, and I will be reviewing each one here on the website. First up, Flower Beauty Shadow Play Eyeshadow Quad. There are four eyeshadow quad’s that are available for purchase, and one of them was completely sold out. Luckily for me, Foxy Browns was the one that caught my eye the most anyway. To see plenty of photographs and swatches,
I’ve loved Drew Barrymore since I was a child. I remember loving “E.T,” and watching “Babes In Toyland” a million times. When I got into my teenage years, I actually had a lot of people tell me that I reminded them of her, looks wise. To this day, I still get told that she is my “celebrity lookalike,” which is a compliment I will certainly take. I’ve always admired her hardships and the way she has dealt with them, as well as her wild, free spirited personality.
All Flower Beauty products are cruelty-free and created right here in the United States of America! Those are definitely two things that I can get behind, and I love the little sticker on the back that says “Proudly made in the USA.”
Foxy Browns is the perfect everyday palette! It contains four eyeshadow shades in neutral colors. I was super psyched to get home immediately and test this out. As soon as I dipped my finger into the product to swatch it, it was love. The eyeshadow is incredibly velvety soft and smooth. Each eyeshadow has a luminosity to it that looks fresh and youthful, not overly sparkly or glitzy. The formula is pure love, and the eyeshadow is pigmented.
I also love that they included a dark matte brown shade in the mix. It’s nice to have a matte eyeshadow shade to turn to in a palette. Again, the packaging is just gorgeous and looks rich and regal.
These eyeshadow shades pack major pigmentation, and they are smooth as butter. They are the ideal shades for someone who prefers natural makeup, and you can take this palette from day to night. These are the shades that I, myself, wear on an everyday basis, so I’ll be getting major mileage out of this quad.
Overall: The eyeshadow in this palette is silky soft like butter, but never powdery. The pigmentation is opaque and rich, as well as luminous, but not overly sparkling. The packaging looks luxurious and expensive, while the price tag remains inexpensive and won’t put a dent in your wallet! It’s safe to say that it is L-O-V-E. I also took a picture of the display with my phone as I was in Walmart so I could post it here:
