Autumn 2011 Lookbook: OPI Designer Series Nail Lacquer, “Bold,” Photographs & Swatches

 

OPI Designer Series Nail Lacquer shades include vivid hues and sparkling, glitter-packed textures featuring OPI’s exclusive diamond-dust formula. This fall, two brand new shades are being added to the nine Designer Series nail lacquers, Temptation and Bold. Temptation is a gorgeous sparkling purple, and Bold is described by OPI as a bright red glitter. I was actually torn between whether or not this was a pink or a red because it sort of falls somewhere in between the two. It almost reminds me of the inside of a watermelon…ask some people whether or not it is bright pink or red, and you will have different perceptions. The sparkle in this polish makes it absolutely gorgeous, and it is the perfect shade for the upcoming holidays. I even wore this shade this past week and received a few compliments and inquiries as to whether or not it was for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Bold is a bright pink-red glitter nail lacquer. This one sparkles like crazy in the sunlight and in artificial lighting, and really pops on your nails. The formula was just slightly thick like Temptation was, but nothing that you can’t work with. I applied two coats, and this polish stayed on my nails for over a week with just some very minor tip wear.

 

 

This is one of two new additions to the collection, which already contains nine shades and a top coat:

  • DS Mystery, an alluring dark violet diamond shimmer
  • DS Radiance, luxuriously rich, brilliant silver
  • DS Magic, an intriguing deep blue
  • DS Top Coat, infused with diamond dust for exceptional shine, performance, and wear
