Autumn 2011 Lookbook: OPI Designer Series Nail Lacquer, “Temptation,” Photographs & Swatches

 

OPI Designer Series Nail Lacquer shades include vivid hues and sparkling, glitter-packed textures featuring OPI’s exclusive diamond-dust formula. This fall, two brand new shades are being added to the nine Designer Series nail lacquers, including this gorgeous shade called Temptation.

 

“This Fall, bold and rich colors like purple and red will be used as accent shades, adding a pop of pigmented color to any look. Designer Series lacquers enhance these colors with intense shimmer and unique texture,” says Suzi-Weiss Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Adding dazzling diamond-dust and saturated color to these trendy hues makes a bold, high-fashion statement.”

 

Temptation is beyond gorgeous, both in the bottle and on the nails. As an avid purple lover, I saw this nail lacquer and I instantly cooed out-loud! To see photographs and swatches of this gorgeous new addition to the OPI Designer Series,

 

 

Temptation is a deep purple sparkle, with flashy lavender and bright blue glitter in it. Incredible. I don’t even know what else to say about this nail polish except that if you love glitter and sparkly nail polish, this is a must-have for your collection. The formula was just a tad bit thick, but nothing I couldn’t work with. All swatches in this post are two coats, and the nail polish stayed on my nails for six days with only some minor chipping. The glitter in this nail lacquer is simply brilliant and shines like crazy in natural sunlight as well as indoors. I received so many compliments from people, asking me what nail polish I was wearing as well.

I love these OPI Designer Series nail lacquers, and I probably own over half the collection because I am always drawn to them in the store. This is one of two new additions to the collection, which already contains nine shades and a top coat:

  • DS Reserve, a shimmer of vintage pink
  • DS Opulence, a magnificent mauve drenched in diamonds

  • DS Mystery, an alluring dark violet diamond shimmer
  • DS Radiance, luxuriously rich, brilliant silver
  • DS Magic, an intriguing deep blue
  • DS Top Coat, infused with diamond dust for exceptional shine, performance, and wear
