I swatched and reviewed the brand new Aqualillies for Tarte Palette yesterday, and not only is it fantastically gorgeous, but the products apply beautifully. I was playing around with makeup (as I usually do on weekend nights), and I decided to do a “double-wing” look with the sole colorful eyeshadow shade in the palette. The result is neutral with a pop of fun along the bottom lash-line. It’s very beachy and summer-inspired, so take a look inside!
The shades I used are circled above as a guide. I used the light brown matte shade on the right side of the palette in the crease of my eyelid, and enhanced it with the darker matte brown on the left side of the palette. Be sure to blend this into a sideways “V” shape. I also followed a general “cat-liner” shape outside my eye. Apply the turquoise color along the entire lower lash-line and extend it out into a wing that is parallel with the matte brown wing shape on your upper eyelid. In the meantime, apply the champagne shade on the left side of the palette over your entire eyelid, your brow-bone, and in between the teal and brown cat-liner lines. This will help define both wings and make them stand out even more!
I added black eyeliner to my lower water-line and smudged some black liner on my upper lash-line to complete the look. I love the turquoise next to the neutral colors. It not only adds a pop, but the cat-eye wings makes it slightly edgier and more fun! Overall, I’m going to have plenty of fun with this palette throughout the summer!
