The Sonia Kashuk BCRF Collection continues to inspire and amaze, with 15% of each sale going towards The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The Primping For A Cause Curler & Tweezer Set is an extremely flirty, girly way to refresh your look with tools most women use in their daily and weekly routine. The curler is a metallic pink, giving it an extra punch of fun and color. The tweezers have the pink ribbon on them, reminding you of the cause, which Sonia Kashuk herself has endured. Many celebrities are rocking this innovative curled ‘do, and it is achieved through the use of a triple barrel waver. The one I used specifically, Revlon’s Triple Barrel Jumbo Waver, looks almost like a large crimping iron, clamping down onto your hair, leaving a triple waved effect into your hair. Taylor Swift is the most famous wearer of this look, with her crimped, spiral curls cascading from straight roots and bangs. The Revlon Triple Barrel Jumbo Waver is quite possibly the best $25 I’ve ever spent on a hair tool, allowing me to quickly and efficiently achieve Taylor Swift’s pretty waves. The majority of women use some type of heat styling on their hair, whether it is in the form of a blow dryer, a straightening iron, a curling iron, or all of the above. For me personally, I use all of the above, and my hair takes quite a heat beating every week. Every single time you use heat on your hair, you need to use a heat-protectant spray to shield your hair from the extreme damage high temperatures can cause. got2b Guardian Angel Spray is by far the best heat protection spray I have ever used, and it is available right on your local drugstore shelves! read more…

We have all seen the commercials for Latisse, the doctor prescribed lash growth formula, splattered all over television and print advertisements. Since then, a large boom of lash growth products have hit the market, all claiming to hydrate, condition, and grow your eyelashes. Many of them fall short, and do not do what they claim – others do the job but are extremely costly and impractical for the average person to keep up with. I have been searching high and low for a lash growth stimulator product I can test out and take on for a Beauty Gala project for some time now. I finally found perfect middle ground: Talika Lipocils Expert at Sephora received great reviews on their website, and cost $55, which is still an investment, but not nearly as pocket blowing as the majority of other formulas are. So come with me, beauties, and embark with me on The Great Eyelash Project for the next several weeks, and let’s see what kind of difference this product really makes. The proof is in the pudding, so read more…

Beauty sample boxes seem to be the newest trend in beauty services on the internet. The product is usually sold in some type of feminine packaging, containing several surprise sample beauty products inside. Two major beauty sample boxes being provided out there are My Pretty Pink Box and Birch Box. My Pretty Pink Box is described on the website as a “pretty, little box filled with beauty samples.” The owner believes this gives shoppers a chance to try products from a number of companies, both established and upcoming. For a monthly fee, each box contains handpicked beauty items, and includes at least one to two full size products each month. When I won a Twitter contest for a free box, I excitedly anticipated receiving it. So how did Beauty Gala like My Pretty Pink Box? read more…
