Today I decided to stop by my local Walgreens and the gracious woman working in the beauty department excitedly exclaimed to me, “We are putting all of our winter releases out!” At that moment, I carefully peered at each and every display they had because most of them were new to me. It is always tough to pick and choose what I want to try out first, so I went with these Wet n Wild Fergie Around-The-Clock Blushes. There were 3 blushes total in the display, with the one I am missing being a super hot, matte fuchsia pink shade. I decided to try Brush With Destiny and Brush With Brilliance because they’re more “everyday” shades that I will wear on a regular basis. I’ve got swatches and my full review inside!

Something that is incredibly important to me about blushes I love and use on a regular basis is how they pair with my makeup looks. I tend to stick with peachy and neutral tones, simply because they go with pretty much anything and everything. Of course I have all different shades of blush in my makeup collection, but these are the type of shades that are perfect for the office, for the daytime, and yet still go well with a smokey, dramatic eye makeup look.
SWATCHES:
Brush With Destiny is a neutral peachy-nude shade. It does have a bit of shimmer to it, but it’s not super noticeable when you actually swatch it or use it on your cheeks. It gives that perfect hint of glow to your skin which I love. This is a great shade for a variety of skin tones and makeup looks. It was also very pigmented and only needed a small dip of my brush to apply it, so be careful not to overdo the application when putting your blush brush into these!
Brush With Brilliance is GOR-GEOUS. My eye immediately gravitated toward this one on the display because it reminds me so much of NARS’ Orgasm blush. It is a peachy-pink with plenty of gold reflects in it. While it IS shimmery, it’s not a total glitter bomb when you apply it, which I like. It will definitely give you a major glow on your cheeks, but it’s not so much that it looks juvenile. This shade was also super pigmented and will look great on a variety of skin tones.
Overall, I’m definitely a fan of these new blushes for Winter 2014/2015. They’re pigmented and full of color and they last on the skin for hours. The fact that you get a huge pan of blush for a very inexpensive price is also a huge bonus in my book. These are definitely a beauty bargain.
The Wet n Wild Fergie Around-The-Clock Blushes are available at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide for Winter 2014/2015. Each blush retails for under $5.00USD each.
