Yesterday, I reviewed the dazzling palette that is Too Faced “The Return of Sexy.” I decided to do a look and tutorial showing you a look from each of the three groups of eyeshadow. This one is from the “Ingenue” section, which contains insanely gorgeous neutral shades. I think the most famous Hollywood ingenue is Audrey Hepburn, and she definitely stuck with neutral shades on her eyes. Fast forward to 2012, and you’ve got the modern day ingenue! This look is perfect in place of a typical silver and black smokey eye, and it is definitely wearable for the daytime. Let’s dive in,
How-To Achieve This Look:
- Apply the shade labeled “Inner Half Eyelid” to the entire inner half of your eyelid up to the crease.
- Apply the shade labeled “Outer Half Eyelid” to the outer half of eyelid up to the crease. Blend this shade and the first shade together by turning your brush around and patting.
- Apply the shade labeled “Crease” to the crease area of your eye, blending the color out softly toward your brow-bone.
- Apply your “Eyebrow Highlight” and blend the crease area with this shade, as well.
- Apply the “Outer Third Eyelid” shade with a patting motion to the outer bit of your eyelid only. This will darken that area and create definition for a smokey look.
From here, you can apply eyeliner if you want. I applied the waterproof black eyeliner that came with this palette to my lower waterline and tight-lined my upper eyelid. I curled my lashes and applied tons of black mascara. A great way to make this look your own is switching up the eyeliner by either applying a different shade (i.e, brown) or leaving it out completely for a softer look. You can also add eyeliner to your upper lash-line and wing it out to mimic the effect of the smokiness!
