I’ve been a bad blogger this week, mostly because life has been hectic with hubby and I taking on a DIY landscaping project. I’ll be posting more about that on my sister blog, GLOW, in the next few days. Back to digging through my beauty stash, I wanted to swatch these brand new products from Too Faced that were sent to me. These are the new Too Faced Melted Metal Lipsticks. They are basically the same product as the Melted Lipsticks, but these have an ultra gorgeous metallic glaze and shimmer to them. I’ve got 4 shades for you today: Tutu, Dream House, Violet, and Macaron.
The Too Faced Melted Metal Lipsticks are liquid lipsticks that come in a squeeze tube with a doe-foot applicator on the end. You squeeze the tube to let product onto the spongey applicator and then apply it directly to your lips. These are much more metallic and shimmery than the original Melted Lipsticks. These have a complexity to them that really shows up in the light. These are also all incredibly pigmented and full of color, so a little goes a long way.
SWATCHES:
Dream House is a bright fuchsia. This actually reminds me of the color you would see on the Barbie Dream House toys. It’s ultra bright and really electrified in color. There are small bits of violet and blue shimmer in this shade. It’s super creamy, pigmented, and opaque in just one swipe. I also love that despite all of these shades being metallic and having shimmer in them, not one of them feels gritty. They are all super smooth and lightweight on the lips.
Tu-Tu is a peachy coral shade that is absolutely stunning. It’s hard to pick a favorite in the bunch, but this one is great for wearing on a daily basis. You can pair this with a dramatic smokey eye and wear it to the office. It has a warm gold shimmer in it that lights up on the lips. Pair this with some bronzer for the spring and summer and you’re set!
Violet is an orchid shimmer shade. Be still my heart. You know I’m a purple fanatic, so this one sings to me. The shimmer in this one is very finely milled, so it shows up but it doesn’t look tacky or gaudy. I also love that despite this being a fairly bold shade, it is wearable for the average person. In fact, if you’re wanting to wear the violet lip trend but you’re unsure of how to pull it off, this is a fantastic option for you. It’s opaque and rich in color, but you can apply a light, sheered-out layer with your fingers as well.
Macaron is a yellow-based, warm bright pink. It has bits of violet and gold shimmer in it. Dream House, above, is more cool-toned and blue based than this shade. This is a universally flattering hot pink shade.

Overall, I really like this product a lot. I’m a fan of the original Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, and these just add a little something extra to the formula. They feel really lightweight on the lips, without any grittiness or stickiness. These are very pigmented and opaque in just one or two coats. If you’re a fan of shimmer and metallic lip products, you’ll enjoy these a lot. There’s a little something for everyone in the color range as well, as there are EIGHT shades total in the collection besides the colors shown here.
Too Faced Melted Metal Lipsticks are available at Sephora and Ulta stores nationwide as well as online here at Sephora’s website. Each lipstick retails for $21.00USD. There are eight shades total in the Melted Metal Collection. Check them out and purchase them here. I have personally seen and swatched the other shades in my local Ulta store and they are absolutely gorgeous!
