Jane Cosmetics always brings me back to my teenage years when there were less products on the market, and Jane was one of the few that really marketed to the younger demographic. While browsing in Rite Aid, I was excited to find Jane products again, and look through them all. I left with Jane BE PURE aguaceuticals Sheer Tinted Moisturizer because it is a certified organic tinted moisturizer with SPF30 in it. It also had ingredients that help reduce the appearance of fine line and wrinkles, and overall sounded like a great natural option for face makeup during the summer. To see how this product lived up to my expectations,
Jane BE PURE aguaceuticals Sheer Tinted Moisturizer SPF30 (in Medium Warm, for my skin tone)
Jane BE PURE aguaceuticals Sheer Tinted Moisturizer SPF30 claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with organic green and white tea extracts. This is a certified organic product with all ingredients made of natural origins. It protects the skin with SPF30, while adding a sheer, natural, light coverage to your skin.
Jane BE PURE aguaceuticals Sheer Tinted Moisturizer caught my eye immediately because in the summertime, I have a major obsession with tinted moisturizers, and testing out which ones work the best. Seeing that it was certified organic really was a selling point for me, as I really enjoy using all natural, paraben-free products as often as possible – especially on my skin. The shading descriptions were clear and descriptive enough so that I was able to pick out the right shade for my face. I went with “Medium Warm Tones,” whose description was “Mediterranean, tanned complexions.” Since I have a medium olive skin tone, and I am especially tan during this time of year (thank you Jergens Daily Natural Glow!), I picked this shade up for myself.
This tinted moisturizer has an extremely light, barely there scent. It almost smells just like your average facial moisturizer that you would apply to your face morning and night. I was pleased with the formula of this product, as well. It was creamy, yet light enough so it feels like your skin is breathing through it. A little goes a long way with this product, since you simply want to even out any redness, blotchy patches, and give yourself an overall even, healthy glow.
Before applying this product, I definitely looked in the mirror and realized I needed a pick me up. While my skin doesn’t need extremely heavy coverage foundation (at least not for daytime wear), I do have some uneven skin tone, as well as a couple of leftover blotches from a nasty breakout last week. I was pleasantly surprised by the coverage of this tinted moisturizer: It was sheer, but actually had more of a “light” coverage to it, rather than just gliding over my skin like a moisturizer. It helped to even out my skin tone, erase the dark circles underneath my eyes, and hide some of those leftover breakout blotches I had.
The coverage lasted around 5-6 hours on my skin, before starting to look a bit tired. I do wish the wear was a bit more long-lasting, and that is the only con I found from using this product for over four weeks.
Bottom line: Love tinted moisturizers? Love natural, organic makeup products? This is a great tinted moisturizer choice for those who love organic makeup, or who simply need a tinted moisturizer that will actually work on their skin. The only downside is that I would not wear this product for long events, outdoor events where you may be in the heat, or anywhere you may be expecting long, lasting wear.
