Okay, okay, so I admit that I can be lured by product packaging. But what woman can say she has not been lured by product packaging at some point in her life? EOS Lip Balm comes in the coolest, most unique packaging. It has a spherical egg shape to it, and the lid twists off to reveal a round lip balm inside. The product packaging alone has caused the interrogation rate of this lip balm to literally be 100%. I cannot think of a single time when I whipped this lip balm out so far that someone around me hasn’t asked me what it is. It looks sleek, modern, and chic, and the sphere really does make applying the lip balm a pleasure. The round shape makes the lip balm glide naturally onto the shape and curves of your lips, and heck, it’s fun, too!

I purchased my EOS Lip Balm in “Summer Fruit,” though it also comes in Lemon Drop SPF15, Honeysuckle Honeydew, and Sweet Mint. Since these are sealed (like most other lip balms are for safety), I could not smell the scent ahead of time, but I went on my instinctual scent preferences, and chose Summer Fruit. The scent of this lip balm is completely lusciously divine. The scent is not overly strong, but light, and smells like a refreshing pina colada on a hot day. I made sure to let everyone who asked me about this product smell the scent, so I would have a variety of opinions on it. Everyone described it as “light,” “sweet,” and “delicious,” smelling.

Now, with all this hype about the packaging and the flavor, does this lip balm actually hydrate? Absolutely. This is one of the best lip balms I have ever owned. It is not greasy or oily, and feels light as air on your lips. Even my husband who typically despises any lip product I apply thought this one was thin, light, and unique. Even with its thin formula, it hydrates your lips for hours on end, leaving them smooth and moisturized. The formula is made with shea butter, Vitamin E, and jojoba oil, and is free of gluten, parabens, petrolatum, and phthalates, making it perfect for someone with sensitive skin, or an environmentally conscious beauty.

EOS’s tag line is “Can a lip balm make you smile? We think so,” and I have to say that this one truly does. It makes applying lip balm daily less boring and daunting, and makes it extremely fun.
