Spring is in the air and many of us are still thawing out from a frigid and seemingly long winter. Spring makeup is special. It has that je ne sais quois to it, often boasting glowing skin, pastel shades, luminous neutrals, and a much lighter hand. Today I am showing you how to Refresh For Spring using the brand new Sonia Kashuk Sahara Collection from Target. This collection is beyond luxurious, both in packaging and quality. I’m going to show you how to effortlessly make the transition from heavy, dark winter makeup to a light, airy, and luminescent spring look.
Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Highlighter in Arabian Dreams // Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Blusher in Casablanca // Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour in Eden // Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Eyeshadow Palette in Desert Escape
1. Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Blusher in Casablanca // This gorgeous baked powder blush comes in a round container that is not only sleek but serves a purpose. You can apply the product directly to your cheeks by dabbing it on lightly and then blending it out with your finger tips. Spring is all about effortless beauty. Corals look good on every skin tone and really give you a natural looking flush.
2. Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Highlighter in Arabian Dreams // This highlighter is going to be an extremely hot ticket item for the spring and summer in Target stores. It has the multi-dimensional shades and patterns in it like a very high-end brand. Highlighter brightens your complexion wherever you choose to apply it. My favorite spots are down the nose, on top of the cheekbones, in the middle of the forehead, and on my brow-bone. When the light hits your face, you will look healthy and glowing. The candlelit effect is perfect for spring.
3. Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour in Eden // This coral lip color is semi-sheer and glossy, leaving your lips looking moisturized and plump. Spring is a season of rebirth, so wearing youthful, light lip products is the key to keeping your look soft. This coral shade will look great on absolutely everyone and it really makes your entire complexion look healthy.
4. Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Eyeshadow Palette in Desert Escape // This eyeshadow palette is full of shimmering and matte neutrals, which are always perfect for drawing light to the eyes during the spring. In the winter, we often wear heavier eye makeup, so changing it up for spring with neutral champagne beiges and browns is a great idea.
FOR THE SPRING EYE MAKEUP:
Using the Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Eyeshadow Palette in Desert Escape, I applied the medium matte brown shade mixed with a little bit of the medium shimmer brown shade into the crease of my eye. I blended it well with a fluffy blending brush and applied a bit along my lower lash-line, just for definition. I patted the lightest shimmering champagne beige onto my eyelid, inner corners, and brow-bone so that my eyes really reflected light. This entire palette is beyond gorgeous and very pigmented. Here are swatches:
FOR THE REST OF THE SPRING MAKEUP:
The flushed coral cheeks and highlighter really make the skin look young and glowing. For spring, try to stay as light as you feel comfortable with on the skin, which means using a sheer foundation, a BB cream, or simply concealer on trouble spots. The more actual skin you can see through, the fresher your makeup will look and stay.
The one thing these products all have in common is that they are soft and either bring light to the skin or reflect light on the skin. Corals are always trendy and on-point for spring makeup and they tend to look great on absolutely every skin tone and age.
THE COMPLETE “REFRESH FOR SPRING” MAKEUP LOOK:
Spring makeup is ethereal and full of glowing pigments. The entire Sonia Kashuk Sahara Collection from Target helped me achieve that unique makeup look that really captures the essence of springtime.
