I recently swatched the brand new Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeshadow Palette in Casual, and I wanted to do a coordinating makeup look using the shades in the palette. I decided to go with a look that would make my blue-green eyes pop because the palette has a lot of gorgeous blue eyeshadow in it, which may intimidate those of us with lighter eyes. This look will look gorgeous on anyone, and the palette is universally flattering, so here is a look that proves that! To see photographs and how I got this look,
How To Achieve This Look:
- Apply the berry shade to the crease of your eyelids. I also extended this shade upward toward my brow-bone a little bit. Make sure to blend it out so there are no harsh lines.
- Apply the light bronze shade to the inner corners of your eyes and across half of your eyelid. You can also apply this along your lower lash-line, stopping halfway.
- Apply the darker chocolate color to the outer half of your eyelid. Build this color up and blend it with the lighter bronze shade so it creates a gradient. Also, apply this on the outer half of your lower lash-line to match your eyelid.
- Apply a brown eyeliner to your lower waterline. I used Clinique’s “Black Honey” Gel Eyeliner and put it on my waterline only. This shade almost has a cherry tone to it, so it really draws the blue and green out in my eyes. I kept my upper lash-line bare because I wanted the look to stay glowing and somewhat understated.
- Curl your lashes and apply mascara.
For my cheeks, I applied a pinkish-berry blush to the apples of my cheeks.
For my lips, I applied a raspberry lipstick.
This eyeshadow palette is so versatile, and can honestly be used for such an array of makeup looks. You can choose to use it to bring out your particular eye color, or even just get playful with it and mix up the shades.
