I was very eager to try out these new Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms because they claim to put down really opaque, rich color. I love these lip “crayons” so much. They make applying lip color so easy because it’s literally like coloring when you were a kid. You can get really precise, sharp lines and not worry about the product feathering outside of your lips. I have 4 of these for you today and full swatches inside,

Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms are meant to be long-lasting lip colours in a twist-up crayon applicator. I love the ease of use of these lip balms. There’s no sharpening, no mess, and applying it within your lip borders is easy as pie.
SWATCHES:
130 – I Want Candy! is a cool-toned, blue-based pink-purple. This one will make your teeth look whiter! I love bright hot pinks like this one, and I was surprised by how rich the color was in just a couple of swipes.
210 – Boom Chic A Boom is a neutral-toned medium fuchsia pink. Again, the pigmentation here was fantastic. I love that these aren’t sticky and have a pleasant, almost-minty scent and feel to them.
300 – Viva Violet is quite similar to “Boom Chic A Boom” which surprised me because the outside packaging is so much darker. The packaging is more of a darkened violet shade and it came out very similar to a fuchsia with maybe a hint of violet in it. I like the color, don’t get me wrong, but if you go by the outside packaging alone, you may be disappointed to find that it doesn’t match the shade when it is applied.
120 – All You Need Is Pink is a hot strawberry pink that almost looks red, but not quite. This one is super pretty and perfect for the person who wants to go red, but maybe not all the way yet. It’s very flattering.
Top to bottom: I Want Candy!, Boom Chic A Boom, Viva Violet, and All You Need Is Pink.
Overall, if you’re looking for a drugstore available lip color that is opaque and rich in color and comes in the “crayon” applicator, this is a wonderful option. These are, by far, the most pigmented lip balm/crayon products I have in my collection.
Rimmel London Colour Rush Balms are available at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide starting July 2014. Each balm retails for $4.99 – $5.49 USD. There are fourteen shades available in the collection.
