I recently featured the Too Faced Rock n Roll Eyeshadow Palette which is part of a new release of palettes by Too Faced. The other half is this gorgeous Too Faced Country Palette, which is all about Nashville Nudes and southern culture. This palette is, in general, much more soft and for someone who likes more neutral, cool-toned shades. I fell in love with this palette after swatching it and can honestly say that both this palette and the Rock n Roll one are fantastic in quality and pigmentation. I’ve got full swatches and my thoughts inside,

The Too Faced Country Palette is an homage to Nashville, Tennessee, the “Music City.” Ironically enough, I’m heading to Nashville this December for the first time and I cannot wait. I’ve never been there before and I’ve always wanted to soak up the musical culture and see the sights.
In typical Too Faced palette fashion, there are 9 shades of eyeshadow, with there being 3 rows of 3 shades, each labeled “Day,” “Classic,” and “Fashion.” These are grouped together so that if you wanted to use the handy guide they include, you can follow along with their written tutorial and recreate their looks.
This palette is full of cool-toned shades, though there are a couple of warmer shades (such as Y’all). This is a great eyeshadow palette for those who prefer more neutral shades and want some colors that aren’t overly dark or edgy. Let’s see some beautiful swatches, shall we?
Cowboy Take Me Away is a matte beige-pink that works perfectly for blending out shades and on the brow-bone. Y’all is one of the warmer shades in the palette and is a shimmering champagne gold. Dolly is a dark chocolate matte brown with small flecks of golden glitter that sit on top of it.
Famous in a Small Town is a matte white shade which is, again, perfect for the brow-bone or blending out crease shades. Paper Roses is a stunning rose pink shade with a golden duo-chrome shimmer. It can easily be used as a blush as well and is really pretty in person. Rhinestone is a dark cool-toned shimmering violet.
All American Girl is a shimmering opalescent white. Nashville is a purple-grey with shimmer and is quite a unique color. Bluebird is a dark navy blue with bright blue shimmer and glitter in it.
Overall, every shade in this palette had good color payoff and applied well. Some of the shades were slightly less soft than others, but the color payoff was not decreased simply because the shadow itself was a bit harder in texture. I would say out of all the shades, Dolly had the hardest texture simply because it is so matte. In general, you’re getting typical Too Faced eyeshadow quality, which is really velvety soft, pigmented shades. If you’re into wearing cooler toned eyeshadow shades or prefer more neutrals with a couple of darker options, this is a great palette for you.
The Too Faced Country Palette is an Ulta exclusive and retails for $36.00 USD. Click here to browse and purchase this palette online! You can also click below:
