Nail of the Day: LASplash Nail Polish, “Crimson Tide”

main25

Right before I walked up to the Ulta cash register, I stopped and grabbed this nail polish out of the LASplash section, and I am glad I did! “Crimson Tide,” has the most gorgeous crimson base and is loaded with gold and ruby glitter in it. It makes for a really unique, shiny, gorgeous nail polish shade, and I am very pleased with it. To see a lot more photographs and swatches,

Crimson Tide has a dark crimson red base, and is loaded with gold and ruby glitter that is quite thick. The glitter is noticeable in this polish, but still manages to look “grown up” because of the base color. In the store, I originally thought this looked brown, because of all the gold/bronze glitter, but it is actually a gorgeous vampy crimson with perfect autumn glitters strewn throughout.

Something about this color reminds me of vampires. Maybe it is the crimson red base reminding me of blood, and the glitter sparkle reminding me of all the Halloween “vampire” costumes we see out there. Either way, this polish applied flawlessly. It was smooth, opaque, and only needed two coats. The color is absolutely gorgeous.

LASplash Nail Polish is available at Ulta stores nationwide for $3.99 a bottle. You can also browse the LASplash Cosmetics website online.

This kinda reminds me of the Eyeko one. I think it’s called Vsmpire or something.

It is somewhat close – the Eyeko one has a much darker base (if not black?), and only has red glitter. This one has gold and ruby :)

I might go onto Cherryculture.com and see if they have this in stock…

Aw, it’s out of stock on Cherry Culture, I just checked. Do you have an Ulta near you?
