I have a confession to make. Sometimes, I go into Target just to peruse the Sonia Kashuk Cosmetics section. The Sonia Kashuk section has long been my favorite to run to and check out, mainly because I feel they provide high-end quality cosmetics and packaging, for affordable prices. All of Sonia Kashuk’s products are packaged beautifully, feeling and looking luxurious and rich. It also doesn’t hurt that Sonia Kashuk’s Blending Sponge is my favorite way to apply foundation every single day. But enough of me raving about this fantastic line of products. For fall, plums, browns, mauve’s, and nude pinks are all the rage, and Sonia Kashuk delivers with “Mauvey,” and “Soft Pink.” To see photographs, swatches, and a review on these luxury lip colors,
Sonia Kashuk Luxury Lip Color is a super moisturizing lipstick that has a creamy, pigmented formula. The lipstick glided onto my lips, which were somewhat dry, and made them feel smooth and soft again. Another thing about these lipsticks is the wear…you will get hours out of these lipsticks. I wore “Soft Pink” the other day for over six hours, and the pinkish-brown color was still on my lips! Also, I am not sure if this was done intentionally or not, but these lipsticks smell good. In fact, when I first put them on my lips, I thought maybe they were scented. They smell almost tropical – with a slight coconut or fruity scent to them. Intentional or not, I will take a good smelling lipstick over one that has a funky chemical smell any day.
Mauvey is a raisin brown shade, and is so easy to work with. You can sweep this onto your lips lightly for a light look (think: Bella Swan in Twilight), or layer it on for a stronger neutral lip. It really is a gorgeous color, and definitely a great budget version of Benefit’s “Good-to-Go” lipstick.
And, just for good measure, I put Sonia Kashuk’s “Mauvey” next to Benefit’s “Good-to-Go” (the lipstick Kristen Stewart famously wore in Twilight). You can see how similar the two shades are, with Sonia Kashuk’s lipstick being less than half the price!
Soft Pink is a brown-pink neutral lipstick. Can I just say how much I adore this one? This is the perfect lipstick that can go with everything and anything. It is so versatile, that if I was traveling, and I had to grab only a couple of lipsticks, this would be one I would take with me. It can go with everything from dramatic smokey eyes to colorful eyes, and complements bare, natural eyes, as well.
Overall, I am in love with these lipsticks, and these Luxury Lip Color Lipsticks are in my top 3 favorite affordable lipsticks. At $8.99 a pop, these cost the same, and even less than a lot of major drugstore branded lipsticks. I always feel confident buying Sonia Kashuk products because I feel like I am getting a much higher quality product, that a lot more thought went into, but for the same price as a major drugstore brand. For fall, “Mauvey,” and “Soft Pink” are great choices, depending on your lip color preferences, and what shades you tend to wear. I know that I will be wearing both of these often as the weather gets cooler!
Sonia Kashuk Luxury Lip Color is available in twelve different shades, and retail for $8.99 each. These lipsticks can be found at Target stores nationwide. You can also browse and purchase the entire Sonia Kashuk Cosmetics collection online at Target.

I LOVE Mauvey. Soft Pink kind of reminds me of a pale honey color. It’s really pretty!

Honey is a GREAT way to describe “Soft Pink.” I was looking for the right description, and I couldn’t quite put it into words. Mauvey is amazing – it’s almost an exact dupe of “Good-to-Go,” and extremely soft and rich in color!

I’m with BriansDisneyGal, I LOVE Mauvey too! Now if they had shade close to Clinique’s Black Honey I’d be all over it 🙂

I am glad you ladies love Mauvey as much as I do! “Black Honey,” is such a unique shade and type of lipstick, because it is so sheer…most of Sonia Kashuk’s lipsticks have great color payoff. Both are gorgeous, depending on your mood!
