Occasionally, us bloggers can be disorganized amongst the hundreds of folders filled with photographs and articles ready-to-go, and this is proof! I recently found that I had done a Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette Makeup Look & Tutorial after swatching the palette here on my blog. If you’re a bit confused, this was shot a couple of weeks ago when my hair was a completely different color (not lavender yet). I did, however, want to put this up because many people were asking me how this palette performed on the eyes. Full tutorial and look is inside!
Below is a numbered guide for how to get this look. Follow along with me if you own this palette:
- Apply Shade 1 into the crease of your eyes using a fluffy blending brush and blend upward to your brow-bone. This will be your transition color and because it is matte, it will look super sophisticated and not overly dramatic.
- Apply Shade 2 using the same fluffy blending brush, but blend this directly into the socket of your eye only, darkening this area up. Also apply this along the lower lash-line.
- Using a pencil brush (or other smaller brush), apply Shade 3 to the outer-third of your socket. This will darken up the outer-third of your eyelid for a smokey effect. Blend this well.
- Apply Shade 4 over your entire eyelid and into the inner corners of your eyes.
- Use Shade 5 for your brow-bone highlight.
You can choose where to take this look from here based on your personal preferences. If you left this look here and just applied mascara, you’d have the perfect “daytime smokey eye.” If you add eyeliner to the bottom water-line and smudge it out like I did, you get a slightly more dramatic look that is great for a night out. This is also a great look to take from daytime to nighttime: just bring your favorite black liner with you in your makeup bag or purse!
The Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette is definitely more rosy and cool-toned, and it is very similar to Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette retails for $9.98USD and is available at Walmart stores nationwide. I have not seen or found this palette personally at any other retailers other than Walmart, so I am not sure if this is a Walmart exclusive or not. I would, however, check Walmart first and foremost if you are searching for this palette.
