Here is a fun little tidbit for all of you MAC fans out there…all MAC Pro products are now available online to the general public! It used to be set up so that you’d have to visit a MAC Pro store or call their number to order from the Pro line, but now you can quickly order anything from the collection online. It makes it way more convenient and accessible. That being said, these gorgeous MAC Lip Palettes were released, and I had to get one in 6 Preferred Pinks, because I think pinks are so timeless, classic, and wearable. I’m really excited about these palettes! I think it’s a fantastic way to spread your money out and get some variety. To see oodles of photographs,
If you’re not a big pink person, fear not. There are other palettes available, including oranges, reds, plums, and browns. Each palette has six pressed MAC lipstick shades. 6 Preferred Pinks has:
- Pretty Please: Pale pink pearl (Lustre); the lightest and most sheer shade in the group. A really gorgeous pinky-nude, but be sure to moisturize your lips well, or it will settle into fine lines.
- Please Me: Muted rosy-tinted pink (Matte); this is the only matte shade in the bunch, and it’s gorgeous, although a bit dry feeling on the lips, especially compared to the other shades.
- Lovelorn: Emotive blue pink (Lustre); a really typical, classic pink shade that has a great finish to it. It almost looks glossy on the lips which I LOVE!
- Crème de la Femme: Pink laced with gold (Frost); a frosty muted pink shade that is very classic, although some may not like the frost in it.
- Show Orchid: Vivid hot pink (Amplified Creme); holy bright lipstick batman! I love it, though. It’s extremely bold and bright and will really make an entire makeup look.
- Violetta: Bright clean violet purple (Amplified Creme); another very bright, bold shade that is still very wearable. I really love this shade when I expected not to, and this would look great mixed in with other shades, as well.
Each lipstick was smooth and creamy in consistency, except for “Please Me” which was a tad dry, which is to be expected with a matte shade. For those of you who want more variety and not necessarily product volume, these palettes are a great choice for you. You get six lip colors that can essentially carry you through any traveling occasion, and all you need is a lip brush.
Now onto swatches of each shade:
Overall: This palette has a really solid group of pink lip shades. I love each and every single one of them, and they would get me through different events and occasions whether I’m traveling or just using them at home. You get a variety of MAC lipsticks to check out, as well.
