If you’ve never heard of FLOWER Beauty before, I’m here to tell you about a lovely beauty brand that was started by one of my favorite ladies in Hollywood, Drew Barrymore. This cosmetics line has been around for a short bit now, but it is the embodiment of peace, love, and nature. I’ve always loved Drew because besides being absolutely gorgeous, she really embraces the whole hippie chic/free-spirit mantra and her cosmetics line really reflects that. I have two brand new products for you today that I am simultaneously reviewing and using: That’s So Kohl Eyeliner in “Tell Me No Lilacs” and Daily Brightening Undereye Cover Creme. I used both of these lovely new products to create an enchanting spring look that is both soft yet brightening to the entire face and eye area.
FLOWER Beauty Daily Brightening Undereye Cover Creme in DB1 // FLOWER Beauty “That’s So Kohl” Eyeliner in “Tell Me No Lilacs”
What I love about FLOWER Beauty is that these products are sold at Walmart, so they’re easily accessible to purchase and they are inexpensive. There’s such a wide variety of gorgeous products and I’ve been a fan for quite some time.
FLOWER Beauty Daily Brightening Undereye Cover Creme (Shade DB1) // This is a dark spot and dark circle correcting creme that minimizes fine lines and has light-reflective particles in it to draw light to your undereye area. I love the rollerball applicator because it feels nice and cooling to the eye area, which naturally helps to de-puff the area underneath your eyes. I also like that it glides on easily, doesn’t distribute too much product at once, and has a nice medium-to-full coverage to it. It still looks like skin after applying it, just a highlighted, better version of your skin.
FLOWER Beauty “That’s So Kohl” Eyeliner in “Tell Me No Lilacs” // This eyeliner is free of parabens, GMO’s, sulfates, talc, and phthalates, which basically means that if you have a sensitive eye area, you don’t need to worry about using this product. I personally have sensitive eyes and it gets worse this time of year because of pollen and spring allergies. This eyeliner goes on super creamy and pigmented and then sets to a long lasting finish. One end has the actual eyeliner and the other end contains a smudge-applicator which I adore. It makes it so simple and easy to blend out and soften your eyeliner without having to reach for a brush or another product. I was so impressed with how opaque the color was with just one swipe, not to mention the wear time, which was easily over twelve hours for me.
This look is super simple and quick. I applied a dusting of matte light brown eyeshadow into the crease of my eye and applied a shimmering champagne over the entire eyelid. This process took me less than sixty-seconds total, because this look is all about the liner, baby! I took my FLOWER Beauty That’s So Kohl Eyeliner in “Tell Me No Lilacs” and applied it to my upper lash-line, as closely to the lashes as possible, but it does not have to be perfect. That is what the built-in smudger is for! Go ahead and use the smudge applicator to blend out the purple line and make it more even, as well as to diffuse the edges and color to your liking. I repeated the same step to my lower lash line. I curled my lashes, applied mascara, and used half-lashes on the outer corners of my eyes only.
For the false lashes, I just took regular Ardell lashes from the drugstore that looked very natural and I cut them in half. I applied the halves to the outer corners of my eyes only. This gives you a very awake, open-eyed, brightening effect.
After I finished my eye makeup, I went in with my FLOWER Beauty Daily Brightening Undereye Cover Creme. I applied it to the undereye area with the rollerball applicator and swiped it toward my temples, as well as down the sides of my nose. To blend it out, I used a patting motion with my makeup brush. I always like to pat my concealer on because then you’re actually covering your imperfections instead of blending them. This gave me a super bright-eyed bushy tailed look and I instantly looked less tired. My undereye circles and puffiness vanished and I had a very highlighted look underneath my eyes. Having a bright undereye area goes a long way in making your eye makeup pop!
The look is soft and perfect for spring. The purple just really frames your eyes and makes them look bright and feminine. I love makeup looks that really enhance your natural features and I feel like this is a great lineup of beauty products to use to achieve that. Everything I used is also super affordable and accessible, making these a major beauty bargain.
