Autumn 2011 Lookbook: Maybelline Scene on the Runway Collection, “Strut It Suede,” EyeStudio Palette, Photographs & Swatches

 

The other Maybelline EyeStudio palette that I picked up which is from the Scene on the Runway Collection is Strut It Suede. I was instantly drawn to the neutral, coffee-like hues of this palette, especially since they are so wearable for every single day. One thing about the Maybelline EyeStudio palettes is that I know they won’t disappoint me. I have been a fan of these since they first came out sometime in early 2010, and I have used mine so often that I have hit pan on some of my eyeshadow shades. The eyeshadow is silky smooth and vibrant in color, and it’s also really easy to blend.

 

 

Strut It Suede is a gorgeous mix of four neutral eyeshadow shades: a matte light beige, a shimmering champagne, a shimmering medium brown, and a shimmering copper brown. It’s a wonderful palette for those of you who cannot wear bright makeup to work, or those who simply gravitate towards very neutral makeup shades. My personal “everyday-go-to” makeup look is neutral brown eyeshadow with a copper-brown in the crease to bring out the blue-green in my eyes. Then, I pop a neutral colored eyeliner onto my lower water-line to make my eyes look bigger, and add lots of mascara to build up my lashes.

 

 

Each shade needed only a dab of my finger to pick up really pigmented color, which is why I love these eyeshadow palettes so much.

 

 

There is just something about the browns in this palette that remind me so much of autumn and the cooler weather coming. Autumn is my favorite season, and I can’t help but fall in love with these shades!

 

 

Maybelline’s “Scene on the Runway” Collection is limited edition for Fall 2011, and can currently be found at drugstores and mass retailers nationwide. This collection has a few other EyeStudio palettes, four lipsticks, blushes, and nail polishes, as well. If you see this display out, be sure to give it a look because it is absolutely stunning.

It may just be too early for you to see the displays yet. A lot of my drugstores here in the US where I live are just starting to put this palette out!

what is the price of this eye shadow and where could i get it from ?

You can find these at any drugstore, and they vary in price, but I believe they are $10 and under.
