I’m convinced this week has been the longest, most drawn out week ever. It’s felt like each day has gone by so slowly and I am so happy it’s Friday and the weekend is here. In celebrating with the whole “TGIF” theme, I went with metallics on my eyes and lips today. MAC recently sent me some of their brand new Retro Matte Metallics, and I fell in love with this new shade, Quartzette. I’m also wearing a classic palette on my eyes from NARS that was released on Cyber Monday. It’s a great staple palette to have in your makeup collection if you love neutrals. To top it all off, I wore my favorite sunnies in the entire world today!

This palette is so incredibly gorgeous. Just look at that shimmering goodness. I only used two shades from the palette: Temptress and Mendoza. Temptress is that buttery-soft matte burgundy you see in my crease and along my lower lashes. Mendoza is the shifting golden-mauve you see on my eyelids and it is even more beautiful in person. I love when I find an eyeshadow palette that can put this kind of look out with minimal effort.

 

MAC Quartzette is right up my alley. It leaves behind a subtle metallic finish and it pretty much goes with everything. I love the slightly golden metallic shift it has and of course, I love matte lipstick.

 

I also put on my all-time favorite sunnies. I have yet to see these look bad on anyone’s face shape. They’re nice and wide (although they now come in a “mini” size which is slightly smaller) and aviators never go out of style. I own them in multiple colors and they are my go-to pair.
