It’s no secret that I absolutely LOVE the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks. Ever since they were first released a few months ago, I’ve been obsessed with the buttery smooth texture and the intense color payoff. Today I’m using F-Bomb, which is a fiery true red shade. It’s perfect for the holiday season and wearing to your special events and parties. I put together a little “Holiday Makeup Look” for you, with shimmering brown eye makeup, cat-liner, and red lips. Peek inside for the full look!

F-Bomb is a pure, true, vivid red. It’s not burgundy, not darkened in any way, and it is a very fiery hot shade. I love pure red lipsticks like this one. They’re classic and never go out of style. I cannot rave about how much I love these Revolution Lipsticks by Urban Decay. They’re so creamy and moisturizing and one swipe puts down intense color.
When wearing pure red lipstick like this, it’s very important to spend a little extra time on your lips. Make sure you use a lip liner that matches your lipstick and outline your lips carefully. Once you apply your lipstick, you can go back and apply concealer around the edges of your lips with a small concealer brush to clean up any harsh edges or feathering. It’s worth the extra minute or two to make sure you red lipstick looks clean.
For the eyes, I used my LORAC Pro Palette, but you can also use the Urban Decay Naked Palettes if you have them. Any neutral taupe and brown shades will work for this look. I used a light brown over my eyelid, and applied a shimmering medium brown along the lower lash-line. In the socket, I blended in a matte medium brown shade. I used a flesh colored liner on my lower water-line to open up the eye and I used liquid liner to create a cat-eye flick. It makes this look very flirty and vixen-like.
Once you top it off with your red lipstick, you’re good to go! I kept the face makeup very light and demure, adding some bronzer to my cheekbones only.
And, as an alternative, if you’re really afraid of pure red lipstick, I used Revlon’s “Audacious” Matte Lip Crayon instead for a slightly less dramatic look below:
Revlon’s “Audacious” is a bit more of a wearable everyday pink shade instead of a pure red. I always say, wear what you feel most comfortable with, but playing with makeup is supposed to be FUN! Transform yourself, turn into a different character temporarily, and don’t be intimidated by pure red lipstick, because it looks great on absolutely anyone.
Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick in “F-Bomb” is available at Ulta and Sephora stores nationwide, as well as online at Sephora’s website. Each lipstick retails for $22.00 USD and there are twenty shades available (2 additional shades are unique to UrbanDecay.com).
