Maybelline New York’s limited edition Spring 2010 collection is called “Sweet Thing,” and hosts a variety of pastel colors from cream stick eye shadows, to nail polishes, to lip glosses. Think of this collection’s color palette as the little girls Easter dresses you see every year in stores, only now with sophistication and glamour. My favorite nail polish out of this collection is a pastel, cornflower blue creme called, “Pie in the Sky.” If you’d like to see more swatches of this color, plus the rest of the nail polishes from the collection,

Pie in the sky, in sunlight

Pie in the sky, indoor light

A gorgeous cornflower blue

Vivid, yet feminine
The formula on this nail polish was extremely easy to apply, and the color dried very quickly, making it perfect for impatient polishers. The color really shines at its best when used with a long-wearing topcoat that will add extreme shine. My favorite top coat of all time is Beauty Secrets Fast Finish 60-Second Polish Dryer from Sally Beauty Supply. The 2.5oz bottle is large, will last you forever (mine is still halfway full, and I’ve been using it for a year), and only retails for $5.99. My manicure lasts for over a week with this topcoat, and really helps to prevent any chipping or peeling.
From the Sweet Things collection, the Express Finish Nail Color retails for $4.25, Expert Wear duo Eye Shadow $4.50, Express Cream Shadow Sticks $6.95, and Color Sensational Lip Gloss $6.49. The collection can be found at major retailers such as CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart.

I havent been able to find Pie in the Sky! I really like this blue too. I always see the pinks in store. I may be out of luck because they are getting harder and harder to find. Hey, I just realized this is the first time I’m seeing your nails. They look great!
i heart the cornflower blue..so stunning…
The cornflower blue color is so attractive and hot right now…especially for spring and summer. I find myself gravitating towards it now in everything @deliciousinpink!
