I managed to purchase a couple of items from the MAC “Temperature Rising” Collection for summer, and it was mostly the lip products that caught my eye. I am guilty of loving anything and everything sparkly, and the lip color in this collection is very sparkly and full of dazzle. MAC “Underdressed” Lipglass is one of the four Lipglass shades that they offered and it shines and glitters like nothing in my collection. I love how unique it looks and that it can be worn along with bronzed skin for a natural look or layered over top of another lip color for a completely customized lip shade.
The packaging on the MAC Temperature Rising Collection is incredible. Everything has a dark bronze cap on it, and it looks very luxurious and expensive.
Underdressed is described by MAC as a “bronze plum with multi-dimensional pearls.” It is definitely right on with the bronze plum shade, however, this gloss is full of gorgeous, full-on shimmer and glitter. It’s so gorgeous. Surprisingly enough, you cannot feel the shimmer/glitter in this gloss at all. It felt perfectly smooth like any other Lipglass I’ve ever tried.
This is just one of those glosses that is really pretty to look at, especially in swatches. I found myself going back to look at swatches several times after I bought it!
What is nice about Underdressed is that it’s both subtle and bold at the same time. The bold glitter in this makes it flashy and fun, but the bronze-plum color is fairly demure and makes for a great option when you want the overall “bronzed” look. It’ll pair really well in the summer with tanned, glowing, healthy skin.
The MAC Cosmetics Temperature Rising Collection is limited edition for Summer 2013. The Underdressed Lipglass is currently sold out online at MAC’s website, but you can still purchase it from MAC counters when it releases on May 23rd, 2013. Each Lipglass retails for $16.50 USD.
